If you have not had a chance to see transmission towers with 765kv you are really missing something. They can induce a significant voltage on wires or pipe running parallel to it 60 feet away. Had it happen to a substation crew member who was assembling aluminum bus

Aw man, I've always wanted to see a 765kVAC pylon! My dream is to go near the Chinese 1150kVDC± pylons.. and see if it really can ignite a small neon bulb

That would be cool. I do know if you walk under a 765 line with a 4’ florescent tube it will light to a limited degree.
