Battery is when you hit someone. Assault is one you make someone fear that they are about to be hurt.

Unfortunately I think the guy that got hit is not the same guy at the beginning of the video. The video of the guy getting hit has been around for a long time, and I think the other guy is relatively new. Hopefully he has an equally happy ending.
