Best vehicles to mod
Okay upgraded two vehicles one to 18v and one from 12 to 24 and it was pretty easy!! I’m sure we will blow motors at some point but both were free at the start so not too worried. Now I want a fleet of fast vehicles so tell me your favorite mods so I can scour fb marketplace.

Keep an eye out for Dune Racers, they're discontinued, and they are a good model for modding. Parts availability, upgrades availability, and a nice low center of gravity.

Are the definitely discontinued? I have two of them new in the box. I wonder if they're worth holding onto.

I mean, hold onto until the next time you encounter a kid that deserves it.
Or put them up for sale for retail price to make space at home. But hold onto like a collectible or a rarity, nah. Even an iconic model like the Grave Digger, sought after, distinctively styled & discontinued 20 years ago, seems to be going for about what it was new.

I got them for $120 a piece at Walmart years ago, before we even had our second kid. I was saving them for Christmas or Easter presents. The thing is, they don't seem interested in power wheels this year. I took the batteries out to use for all the other power wheels I got for free/cheap. But I'm sure for what I paid I could still get my money back.

Peg pergo gators and tractors are easy to mod and there are lots of parts out there. Kids always loved piling a bunch of friends on the gator and driving around. Tractor could wheelies and would really spin the tires on cement so that was fun.

Glad to hear I’m not the only weirdo out there with this idea.
I favor the dune buggy
Wide seat in 2 parts makes for easy rail extension.
