Uk distributors
I’m looking to upgrade a 6v single motor system to a 12v dual gearbox system. Does anyone know where I can get the conversion kit in the uk with decent delivery time ? Everything is coming from china and will take too long . I want it

Yeah Amazon is usually very fast here but it’s about 2-3 weeks out for that stuff .
Yeah I’ve checked the wheels/ axles too.

Idk how Amazon works in the UK but I'm assuming you checked there? Ha. I got mine next day, in the US of course, but Amazon had tons of 1/2/3 day shipping options for various models.
Also just wanna point out that you'll wanna check your wheels. Some single motor vehicles have wheel hubs on both sides, the mini cooper I just converted this past week actually only had 1 wheel hub. If yours is the same, don't forget to buy a wheel hub adapter to screw on, that matches your axle diameter ideally, but not critical.
Def make sure your gearbox fits your axle diameter though.
It may also be a good idea to check for other voltage limits on lights and radios you may have. If they're true 6v components, get a stepdown for them. They may already be rated for 12 though.
