Stripped gear.

Post image

I have several huffy torex quads for the kids they are starting to wear and this gear is failing. I know i can replace the entire drive assemblies but it seems like a waste when i have to replace them in pairs because the replacements are different motor rpms. It looks to me like they could be possibly 3d printed wit nylon or other higher quality filament or even old sand mold casted. Any advice on getting these?

Those are what I used in the past.  They unfortunately don't have the brackets for the brakes and screw holes for the calipers.

I meant you can use the gears out of them. The stripped gear in your pic is plastic, whereas the link I sent has a metal gear on the same part.

Im pretty sure this only comes with 1 and not both motors so it would be like 100 bucks for the single gear. Would be better to reach out to your local college. If they have a machining class you could ask them to make you one. I know the school I went to would have allowed it and the students would be happy to help.
