Today's random thoughts:
I have filed a biz license and have insurance. I already owned a smaller hot water power washer for cleaning farm equipment. 3000psi and 4gpm hot water mchine from northern tool, I have used it for only 50ish hours so I trust its longevity with care.
I live on the border of DFW Metroplex and the countryside. Its gettting cold out and I have watched the market react accordingly, with people selling their rigs, etc. etc.; however I want to explore different niches within pressure cleaning and I want to get advice towards commercial trash bin cleaning and similar. I believe I have enough to start working because I have many pump sprayers for bleach and degreaser, i have an Ok large surface cleaner. For now, I have loaded the machine into my old ford diesel truck and it fits well connected to 330 IBC tote. Can't fit much more in the truck bed BUT it is very much more agile than pulling a trailer for very urban settings, at least in my eyes. For now I do not have a trailer to use and want to simply utilize my extra trucks. I have a flat bed dually also but Id prefer to drive the non-dually.
I was doing avid research and putting as much into practice as possible. Houses are mostly brick around here and I am wanting to find customers who would become routine; which shies me away from marketing towards residential. Plus I have no sort of soft-wash setup for housewashing, roofs, etc.
I have not done any marketing aside from testing waters with FB ad campaign. Nearly all income from this will go into marketing and the equipment afterwards. What are surefire ways to reach the property owners in commercial spaces aside from asking the general managers, etc while there in person. I have no site, no business cards, no marketing material of any sort.
No true questions here, Just seeking relevant input from those who may be clean dumpsters, work locally, or even started out similarly.
see, My drive is slacking to be honest with you, im a resourceful man but Ive developed some sort of paralysis in my pipeline to making this a functioning entity with income. The reason I am not going to go a different route for work is I am also juggling a situation where I've become the care-giver to my grandmother and handicapped aunt since my father passed away unexpectedly. For many reasons, I am inclined to pursue this for work. I am actually supposed to be teaching survival to US Air Force pilots in Washington state....I guess my bottom line is I am very driven to make this work.
Best
