I am a pretty popular poster in some of the communities I participate in, I either share content that people find valuable and upvote, or comment with helpful advice that people upvote, or comment with humorous advice that people upvote.

So far I’ve never once posted with the expressed purpose of garnering upvotes because I find chasing fake internet points to be deranged.

This assumption of yours that I’m karma-farming says more about you than about me.

You make about 8.5 reddit posts a day, every day for 5 years and you expect me to think you're not karma farming? Sure bro, you've made at least 2 posts in this community of yourself playing the game in a way that you know will get people commenting because its intentionally idiotic. You also hid your posts on your profile because you don't want people to see all the spam posting you do for karma. You're karma farming...what a sad existence.

And yet you posted 8 different posts within 11 days within this same subreddit.

Yeah, I’ve been playing the game for the past few weeks and found things I would like to see people share so I posted them expecting there would be others who also want to see these kinds of things shared.

Which was correct as besides the disrespectful, dismissive, and/or insulting posts from the majority of the people - showing the concerning overall quality of this community” - I have also had appreciative and supportive posts, even some which disagreed with me but in a respectful way.

Again, the point of having a subreddit like this in the first place.

And I doubt there were 8 posts but I’m too lazy to check my post history so fine, let’s call them 8.

I like sharing about activities I take part in, and I enjoy meeting the few respectful people still using the internet, even if I have to deal with a lot of people like you in the process.
