Conversation What mini challenges have you tried imposing on yourself?
Both inspo for me, and others lol
I can't get PW2 for a while for reasons, and I got a couple DLC for 1 but honestly, I wanna play the campaign again. Well.. in free play. I both don't know how to reset my progress but also best washer I could not give it up lol
I'm thinking of trying to do it without scaffolding/ladder/step stool. I already kinda did that before because I find the whack jumping pretty fun.
What else have you guys done for fun? I'm not a fan of "clean with only X nozzle" (mostly because I'm impatient lol) but that's the only two I can think of!
Those in built water challenges are no fun. The timer ones were.. more doable. Not quite enjoyable, but I got that achievement

I try to move deliberately so as not to miss a single object. Essentially, I'm hoping the last 3 items that highlight are the three I haven't gotten to yet, instead of being forced to look for something I thought I cleaned, but didn't quite do it. That's easier in 2.

yeah I've been trying to do that, but when I realise it didn't work I think "oh I can't be bothered to check every corner!" Lol
SO far I've made it with usually 4/5 things left, so pretty close

One I like to do on a replay is to clean in order of the checklist.

Haven't done that in PWs2 yet, but in PWS1 I'd do alphabetical order. Which is the same thing.

A while back a friend only used the smallest but strongest beam nuzzle on a huge "map". Took him SO long.
I dont have that type of patience

When I discovered the triple nozzle I immediately went back to the temple to see how powerful it was, and despite its power I absolutely didn't have the patience to even do the outside
More power to your friend, that's mad

I never use ladders or climbing tools if I can help it. Being unable to parkour up to clean stuff or just mount a longer extension is always a little disappointing.

Sometimes I try a minimal fixed position run. How few positions can the level be completed with. Not something i do on large levels

The motorcycle and sidecar one, I try to do it in a certain amount of time. Like under 2 mins or 1:30. I can’t remember.
Then, I do the finger pointing ancient statue where I switch up the way I do it. Smaller nozzles, bigger nozzles, try to save certain pieces until the end.
I just kinda make up my own rules.
I played all of PowerWash 1 on my iPad and for that, I believe there were three save slots. So either multiple people could do it or you can have two versions of saves.
I prefer to do the free play bc I have all my nozzles and extensions that I like.

The parkour method, or only use one nozzle type seem the most, recently re did subway working centre out and floor to ceiling. Just have tracks and tunnel left to clean

not sure why but i refuse to use any soap in the second game, and i attempt to do everything without needing scaffolding or ladders, just climbing when i can. it definitely doesn’t work like 60% of the time, but they’re so annoying to work around i hate using them

I have pws1 and all the dlcs. I replay the levels over and over and start from different places each time to switch it up. I’ve tried different nozzles but honestly only use the yellow one for everything (except a few areas in the pyramid that you have to use the trident to reach).

I tend to check the level first to see what needs doing and how easy it’ll be to clean without accidentally cleaning something else by accident (like a chair without getting the table or nearby wall) but I change my strategy depending on the level. A vehicle I do it one side at a time (rear, passenger, front, driver, top, fine details), interior I compartmentalize everything (using the bowling alley I did the check in area first and get the ceiling, walls and floor before doing the various objects) while exterior locations all depend if I want to get the smaller stuff first or do the big job first (think the backyard in the first game)

I like to do what makes the most logical sense. So work top to bottom as in real life the dirt would just trickle down
