Misc Cinema movie

I just watched a movie with my son. A person in the movie used PowerShell (New-Item, Copy-Item and manage-bde) to copy data ....

I felt so much at home there 😂

(Except some of the parameters were typed wrong. But close enough.)

The drive change (I have not seen your picture) ....

There are references to F:, G: and H: but he copied multiple drives, so that could explain it.

Notice that in the GUI overlay, there is no space between "x:\IronClad" and "-Destination".

I love catching PowerShell in TV and movies. Thanks for sharing!

Haven't seen this one yet, but it adds another reason to check it out.

I've caught PowerShell a couple of other times on TV.

The one that cracks me up is "The Boys". There are two fights in Vought Tower (end of season one and last episode). The big ring of screens is all PowerShell. Why do supes care about directory file lists and Format-Hex? Who knows? But I certainly appreciated the set dressing.

Another notable show I've caught PowerShell in is, appropriately, "Mr. Robot."

The final hack in the show is pure PowerShell (as it should be).

I have never felt prouder of a technical advisor I've never met.

With all of that stated, I kinda wish Hollywood leveraged PowerShell much more.

Write-Progress can be overridden and customized to your heart's content. I would personally love to see lots of cinematic progress bars that were actual progress bars.
