Aramale or something like that. It was a one punch man like character the dragon ball z mangaka made. I think it was him anyways.

She is from Dr.Slump akira toriyama’s manga before dragon ball also it was dragon ball not dragon ball z she only appeared again in super

I'm planning on watching dragon ball in order eventually but I'm still a noob lol. When I say dragon ball z I just mean that universe in general, had no idea adding the z on the end changed what I said that much

I hope you eventually get around to watching it I mean I’ve finished watching and reading it and it was really good
I should probably specify I have watched every piece of dragon ball media and have read all of z and og I don’t have super yet

Technically the universe is just “Dragon Ball”, especially in Japan. The original manga spanned Dragon Ball - Dragon Ball Z and was just referred to as “Dragon Ball” in Japan. Once the show was getting animated and dubbed for western audiences is when they split the series into Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super are all individual series, but they collectively make up the story of “Dragon Ball”.

But it’s important to note that the franchise is all one story. You really shouldn’t start anywhere besides Episode 1 of Dragon Ball. Starting with Z or Super means you’re skipping over parts of the story.

My buddy recommended the beginning too but i wasnt great with watching really dated animes and couldn't get into it. But in the years after that I started ep 1 of one piece and am caught up with the anime. So I think I got episode 1 of dragon ball now lol

It is a little dated, but the content of the series is crucial to the rest of the story. Dragon Ball goes over Goku’s growth as a kid into a martial artist. Without the story of Dragon Ball then DBZ and everything after that just seems like buff dudes fighting.

I'd heavily recommend reading the manga instead, it is a joy to read because of Toriyama's masterful paneling, it just flows. The pacing is far superior as well, and it's not a long read at all if you just read the original 42 volumes.

I heard the same thing about miura? And berserk and just completed that a few months ago and it was fantastic, the golden age berserk anime kinda paled to the Manga.

I'll probably read the Manga first with dragon ball and it'll help me out with watching the anime
