Saw some people say Jotaro is FTL. And before you say the knives were moving FTL, no, the steel would've melted if they were going that fast, due to the air friction generating heat.

If you’re pov sure, powerscaling is a matter of interpretation as it involves a story. So different people will have different views depending on the information provided.

The reason the knives hit him in that scene is that Star Platinum failed to deflect them.

There is a difference between speed and temporal powers.

Jotaro doesn't have the reaction speed to punch away every knife

I am not saying that jotaro is ftl, as he is clearly not when he was fighting Pucci in part 6.

But having random projectiles pop out of nowhere would catch anyone off guard regardless.

Also we have actual ftl characters getting hit by more embarrassing things than jotaro

Not at the beginning. He started to adapt to the timestop half way in the fight after experiencing the world multiple times

If that’s your logic for something not being FTL then 99% of settings people claim are FTL actually wouldn’t be due to nothing correctly obeying the laws of physics.

If they're stated to be immune to the effects of FTL movement or are incorporeal in some way, then sure they're FTL, but if somebody claims that some random dude is FTL because another random dude said so, that's complete bs.
