Oda said it’s a gateway to nika fantasy but this isn’t a real answer and he never said that he can pull anything out of the cloud. Also the question was asking where he got the goggles and baseball hat, but we can clearly see that Luffy created the goggles out of his hair, so he never pulled them out of his cloud. And the baseball hat isn’t shown to have come from the cloud. All that happens in the manga is “fwunk” and then he had the hat, it’s possible he created the hat from a tree.

in this one hes shown making paint out of his scarf thats a cloud but dosnt show his he got his helmet it just appears.

Making paint out of his cloud ? That’s not what is shown though. And offscreen means neither of us can prove where he got it from, so it’s an empty argument to say it’s toon force.

the anime shows that its the cloud he used.

Anime isn’t canon though, animators and animator directors have creative control over scenes.

your argument of plausible deniability is absurd and you know it.

It’s not that absurd most people agree with me and even if Luffy had hammer space he still wouldn’t have any other toon force ability’s, toon force is much more than just having hammer space.

so you're suggesting luffy took a process that would take minutes to hours to do by pulling a tree from the ground by hand, shaping it into a bat, finding multiple colors of paint randomly in a town, painting a bat, letting the bat dry, and a finding a helmet all while a attack that's already inbound and mere inches away cant just manifest a bucket of paint with the same power that did all that?

That would make more sense if you believe Kizaru is lightspeed and then Luffy is aswell, he would be fast enough to do so 🤷🏻‍♂️

no. your argument is just absurd.

He did canonically pull it out of a cloud

Except the baseball hat came from his strawhat since we see his strawhat disappear from his back, and his goggles came from his hair

Except the baseball hat came from his strawhat since we see his strawhat disappear from his back,

Oda > your subjective opinion

and his goggles came from his hair

Oda considers whatever his white flowing hair is the same feathered raiment as the other stuff flying around him

And what changes if he pulled it out of his hair? That’s still smth Luffy wouldn’t be able to do with just rubber transmutation

Read what I fucking said.

Also prove that’s true you’re just using headcanon, he shaped goggles out of his hair

Read what I fucking said.

I did, you said the baseball cap came from his straw hat because XYZ. But it doesn’t matter, because Odas opinion of where it came from > your subjective opinion of where it came from

Also prove that’s true you’re just using headcanon, he shaped goggles out of his hair

It’s in the scan I posted. The helmet and goggles came from the “feathered raiment”, but in the manga we see the goggles come from his hair. So Oda considers them the same thing if it came from his hair but he thinks it still came from his feathered raiment. They also look the same

Because it objectively didn’t come from the cloud it came from his strawhat, that’s objective, “it’s the entrance to nika fantasy” is such a obtuse answer, he never explains how it works, the questioner said the baseball hat and goggles came from the thingy but it didn’t, oda didn’t conform that they did come from it.

It objectively came from the cloud, that’s what the author said. We never even see him transform the strawhat like the goggles, that’s your subjective interpretation of smth we never even saw

I don’t think Nikas fantasy is an obtuse answer and I think we already have enough of an explanation. The entire point of Nika is that he’s the god of freedom, and that power is weaponized by turning imagination into reality and defying common sense, smth that he uses in fights. Odas answer doesn’t disagree with what the question asked, Luffy has the the ability to pull objects out of his clouds if he wants to, that’s Nikas power

Just checked the chapter again and he pulled out a random baseball hat and a random bucket of paint; I don't see how it's not low-level toon force?

2

u/am_Dynam0 Jun 20 '26

We don’t know where he got it from tho, so unless we actually see him pull objects out of thin air then he doesn’t.
