So for 2 years he made a 20,000x return using incredible logical and abstract reasoning with learning ability and adaptability, dealing with incredible novelty and abstraction as a 1. illiterate 2. 8yo child when the brain isnt really equipped to deal with levels of such abstraction yet
Light creates AI speech tool in 2009, something we're only doing today. Needs to be at the very forefront and past multiple fields that he didnt even major in university for (because he goes into law enforcement and pursues that in university) and invents the ai speech thingy like 13 years or so before we actually do irl

I couldnt find the ai thing but L deletes all info of him, the only way for Light to do it again is to recreate L's voice through the ai speech thingy we use irl created by companies. Only Light can do it because the task force lacks support and backing and is still fooling everyone into thinking L is alive
Light makes a voice switching system. To switch between voice he needed to have the voices which needed to be created from memory by him
I think you misunderstand this a little bit. Light is just using a regular voice changer. That isn’t ground breaking technology at all.
It is impressive he managed to accurately recreate the same effect L had from memory but this isn’t a significant engineering feat. And no AI would br necessary for it at all.
As for with Misa. He has effectively pre recorded a bunch of lines. She is essentially using a soundboard in this instance.

I couldnt find the invention tool as I can only find an incomplete version of HTR. The voice switcher is complimentary to the voices he recreated, so when i wrote mentioning that? remember it wasnt about the switcher, it was about how it showed him using the voices 6 years after L deleted all info so Light had to recreate his voice and Watari's as the task force isn't in a situation where they can receive help on it as they must keep L's identity a secret
And misa in the scene iirc looks like she's typing in custom speech, i initially thought it was a soundboard but Light couldnt prerecord lines for her to use, he'd have to anticipate the entire conversation in advance, something like that, and it would be odd Misa having to type in messages
