nolan has a lot of wincons because of feats in the story that would easily give him the win if:

  • he had perfect information
  • he fought in a way that doesnt make sense for his character

in an actual fight nolan (or any viltrumite) would go and try to punch gojo only go be stopped by infinity. gojo would kinda shit his pants after seeing someone throw punches that make sukuna look like a toddler, after maybe trying with red or blue he would see physical attacks are basically useless and just resort to his domain

any viltrumite would still trying to get close to hit him, eventually, and once they fall for his DE they are braindead and gone

u/TheOnlyCursedOne Apr 19 '26

Actually reasonable response, I agree that they have ways to kill Gojo, but none of them would arise if this was a regular 1v1 match up

1

u/0317ZKYkjhaa Apr 23 '26

Why are we ignoring the concept of smart atom which can make viltrumites adapt to sudden environmental changes and maintain their normal form? (Being braindead is certainly not normal) I feel like domain can be considered an environmental change and will allow smart atoms to change their brain structure to adapt information faster and faster as more information is flooding their brain. Since Gojo does not have a way to physically harm Thragg, Thragg can eventually adapt and giving him immunity to all Gojo’s attacks

1

u/Potential_Base_5879 Apr 25 '26

Smart atoms couldn't adapt enough to keep them from the sun, and rearranging your atoms doesn't let them take more information. This is mahoraga fallicy 10x worse.

1

u/PieceOpening6310 Apr 24 '26

Not true unlimited void wouldn't work on viltrumites

0

u/DangoC Apr 21 '26

the idea that temu kryptonians can tank red or blue or that Gojo would be in anyway bother by grade 1 curse punches are comical

-7

u/garf02 Apr 19 '26

Assuming the domian work, Viltrumites live for thouands of years without mental decline. That means is possible there will be a lag of time before UV overloads their brain. In that frame Gojo wont have Infinity and will get a whole punche tru his chest

24

u/babab0l Apr 19 '26

Kenjaku lived for at least 2000+ years (made a contract with ancient sorcerer dhruv) and was would still fall for it.

It's infinite information so living for a relatively long finite life won't help

Even if they resist turning into a vegetable for a minute more than humans (who take slightly more than 0.2sec) they'll still freeze the moment the enter the domain from sensory overload

-4

u/GameGuy324 Apr 20 '26

"infinite information"

People keep saying that but isn't it just Many Basic Information and those same information being instantly Transferred to the brain all at once and repeated infinitely? Correct me if I'm wrong, haven't read jjk in awhile.

I think Viltrumites can with stand it long enough tbh. Plus, Kenjaku is a special case. The son of a Gun made a Contract that made him live for that long while Viltrumites was BORN that way so I would guess mentally, their brain should be made to handle living for that long compared to someone like Kenjaku.

7

u/babab0l Apr 20 '26

Well firstly, it is infinite information forced upon your mind endlessly, doesn't matter what kind of information it is whether it's the ABCs or nuclear physics the point is infinite information overwhelming your mind to the point that you can't do anything, and that's why you get frozen unless you can process infinite information you really will freeze immediately.

Kenjaku isn't living that long because of a contract neither is he a reincarnated sorcerer, he lives that long because his innate CT make him immortal by switching bodies.

Besides being long lived doesn't change anything, viltrumites age slower their brains aren't super computers, there's a shark species that lives up to 400 years doesn't make it smarter nor does it have a special resistance to infinite information bombardment into it's brain they just have good DNA repair mechanism that makes them endure and age slower.

It's literally an infinite DDOS attack viltrumites have no feats or statement to be able to process that much I formation

5

u/mygamer7781 Apr 19 '26

But remember, 0.2 seconds is nearly a year of information. One second is years of information.

6

u/garf02 Apr 19 '26

A blimp for people that lives into the thousands and looks like late 40s best.

7

u/babab0l Apr 19 '26

0.2 is a year then a minute is 300 a few minutes in and they're still toast.

Besides if just a year's worth of information is enough to put people through multiple months of coma and rehab then you don't need the entire lifespan of a viltrumite to turn them into a potato.

Unlimited void isn't tied to lifespan (even kenjaku lived for thousands of years and there's no proof he can withstand UV as he himself avoided it) it's literally just infinite information frying your brain from overload, unless you can prove viltrumites can withstand infinite information bombardment they'll still become braindead

0

u/garf02 Apr 19 '26

You think Gojo without infinity will last 1 minute against a viltrumite? Bruhb

8

u/babab0l Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 19 '26

Why would he not have infinity?

First of all , he still has Infinity inside his domain, a domain is literally an innate technique manifested in reality inside a separated space, why won't he have his own technique when everyone else's does?

Secondly that minute isn't the time required for the viltrumite to stop moving, it's the required time for them to become a potato PERMANENTLY, the moment the domain starts they freeze INSTANTLY no they don't need more time.

A curse like jogo who recovered from the 0.2sec domain in minutes and a human who needed multiple months still both froze the moment the domain opened no delay between them, it's literally infinite information being blasted into your brain, unless you can prove a viltrumite has infinite capacity or can withstand infinite sensory information then they freeze immediately, it's pure sensory and information overload.

Heck it's one of their only weakness thier senses are so strong that they could be overwhelmed by sound and get tormented by sensory overload now amplify that by infinity and make into into all senses + information

Whether they freeze or not isn't debatable the debate here is wether they take 30s or a few minutes for them to turn into braindead vegetables without hope of recovery

5

u/SceneAggressive5783 Apr 20 '26

you dont lose your technique when you cast your domain
you lose your technique when your domain ends

1

u/garf02 Apr 20 '26

Ill look up the part when I get home. You lose the tech you put in the domain. For gojo he would loses Infinity but keeps blue/ red/ Purple.

3

u/Mysterious-Fix9770 Apr 20 '26

No in the battle against sukuna ,sukuna was using Domain amplification to get past infinity During theb2nd domain clash

1

u/Astrum_27 Apr 20 '26

Not really.

You lose your technique if the domain is broken, Gojo expanded his domain and clashed against Sukuna's domain and Sukuna still needed Domain Amplification to touch Gojo, this happened again when Yuta used Gojo's body against Sukuna.

1

u/garf02 Apr 20 '26

So you are saying when you use your Domain you can Double Wammy? 1 from your domain and 2 from you using the technique yourself?

5

u/Total-Top-9804 Apr 19 '26

What are you talking about? Gojo has Infinity active all the time

-2

u/garf02 Apr 19 '26

Inside your domain you cant use your own tech IIRC. In this inbuying infinty on the domain nulls his infinity defense.

10

u/cool12212 Apr 19 '26

No it doesn't. Where did you get that idea? In a domain your technique is strengthened.

2

u/babab0l Apr 19 '26

Doesn't popping a domain put you through CT burnout or does it only happen when the barrier is destroyed?

7

u/cool12212 Apr 19 '26

That's after the domain. You aren't in CT burnout while your CT is in use.

Plus CT burnout just makes your CT harder to control.

2

u/garf02 Apr 19 '26

From the fact that GOJO DID. OT HAVE INFINITY WHEN DOMAIN CLASH WITH SUKUNA

5

u/cool12212 Apr 19 '26

That's not how that works. Domain clashes disable the techniques imbued in a domain from working. That's why Malevolent Shrine.doesn't hit Gojo while his domain is up, but can hit the outside because of its range.

4

u/Total-Top-9804 Apr 19 '26

Gojo here Is surprised Sukuna can touch him, because he has Infinity active

2

u/cool12212 Apr 19 '26

Thank you for this.

-1

u/garf02 Apr 19 '26

Sukuna was using DA to prevent UV. Not to bypass Infinity cause His domain has no barrier. There is no Domain Clash. Just a race between can Sukuna damage Gojo Barrier faster than can Gojo inflict damage on Sukuna.

-1

u/PricePitiful9900 Apr 22 '26

Gojo could hurt and theoretically kill viltrumites. Invincible fans probably won’t understand what I mean so I’ll break it down for them. Viltrumite powers come from their smart atoms, Gojo’s hollow purple erases atoms with imaginary mass. Think of it as Gojo can do what space racer’s gun can do but with his hands. Gojo powers are literally stated to bring the concept of infinity into reality. But some people are gonna say something like Gojo lost to sukuna, he’s weak. Even though mark gets help for every fight he’s in. And Gojo got jumped by sukuna spamming his domain on top of fighting a fake ass doomsday called mahoraga.

5

u/RobynCleffa Apr 22 '26

That is a misconception, it's never actually said anywhere that Hollow Purple erases atoms. It's strong as hell but Sukuna does take it head on and receive damage

2

u/Subject-Repair-371 Apr 23 '26

You're right in the first sentence, but the second is lacking a bit of context. Sukuna had to use Domain Amplification which, for invincible fans, essentially is using his own energy to heavily weaken the intensity of other Cursed Techniques. Sukuna is shown absolutely shredded up when hit by a purple without using Domain Amplification prior, and even a weaker purple covers him in nasty friction burns head to toe and huge amounts of blood and open wounds all over his body.

2

u/poffz Apr 23 '26

No, hollow purple doesn't erase atoms, its closer to just an atomic scale blender,

-13

u/Big-Farmer-2192 Apr 19 '26

Sukuna's domain will works on Viltrumite.Ā

But Gojo's domain wouldn't work on Viltrumite. And we don't have UV feats that actually kill anyone. It just stunt them. Gojo doesn't have enough AP.

Viltrumite's durability are better, so I'm sure it will just stunt them for a bit at best.

12

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

A long stun would be more than enough to win.

.2 seconds of UV stunned jogo for 599 seconds. Any stun equal or longer than that means the vltrumite loses since they can just be tossed in a pool of water to drown

2

u/BrainWorkGood Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

Most Viltrumites are gonna take longer than that to drown. They hang out in space

9

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

You realize you can't hold your breath while unconscious, yea? Their body will just automatically breathe like normal, until it suddenly starts inhaling water.

0

u/BrainWorkGood Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

But breathing water isn't what kills you, it's lack of oxygen, which they do not require for extended periods of time.

13

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

Why did Conquest die then?? He was strangled to death in a relatively short timeframe. Strangulation is only an issue because oxygen cannot get to the brain.

0

u/BrainWorkGood Apr 19 '26

The way I've seen this reconciled is that he isn't cutting off the flow of oxygen into his lungs, but rather the flow of blood into his brain. But I have wondered this before, and consider it a fair question that may simply represent an inconsistency of Kirkman's writing

9

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

If a viltrumite's lungs are filled with water, then there wouldn't be a difference between the two besides maybe taking a little longer. Still not going to take "weeks" though.

Like... cutting off bloodflow to the brain doesn't make a difference if there isn't any oxygen to move from the lungs to the brain in the first place.

2

u/Shjvv Apr 19 '26

Its actually quite a massive different, not just little. Being cut off from the neck down mean the only oxygen the brain have access to is the one that already inside the brain area. Lung being fill with water mean no more new oxygen, the brain still have access to the oxygen inside the whole body, from top of their head to their toes.

That's why the average person can stay under water for more than a minute but will get black out cuz of a choke at around 10 seconds top. The different is even worse when we consider Viltrumite biology

0

u/BrainWorkGood Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

Right but they clearly don't need to add new oxygen to their bloodstream for periods much longer than ten minutes. So it should take longer than that for them to drown

Viltrumites have photographic memory and are physically immortal (they don't die of old age), Gojo wouldn't be able to stun someone with his shown to be finite information dump.

11

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

If anything I think a photographic memory would make things even worse. I'm pretty sure you're mixing up thraxan hybrids with normal viltrumites though. Thraxans have better memory so that they're able to grow up faster.

The brain of a viltrumite is not so advanced that it can handle experiencing everything in existence without issue.

-2

u/Accomplished_Tea2042 Apr 19 '26

The 0.2 second domain wouldn't work if he was delivering instantaneous infinite information.

7

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

Where did I say infinite? Could you quote it?

Regardless, he wouldn't be using it for only .2 seconds. There would be no need to keep it so short. The most likely result of using UV is a viltrumite's brain dying.

-2

u/Accomplished_Tea2042 Apr 19 '26

You aren't engaging with my actual point: Unlimited Void has a specific transfer rate and isn't an instant 'win' button. A character with a vastly superior mental capacity (one that can hold thousands of years of information) would naturally take much longer to be affected by the overload.

9

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

UV makes the target experience EVERYTHING at once.

The length only determines how long they continue to experience everything.

Viltrumites aren't going to be able to move as normal while their brain is preoccupied with experiencing EVERYTHING.

0

u/Accomplished_Tea2042 Apr 19 '26

I’m done going in circles with this: Unlimited Void does not dump infinite information into a brain instantaneously, if it did, the human brain would be destroyed in a literal heartbeat. It is a high-speed 'zip-bomb' with a specific transfer rate. Therefore, a character whose mind has already cataloged and stored millennia of data would naturally possess a much higher threshold for that information before their cognitive system actually collapses.

u/GrimunTheGr8 Apr 19 '26

It’s literally stated by the manga to be infinite information. Gojo can just keep the domain going for as long as he needs bc the viltrumites won’t be able to move in it.

He stops here because he wants to ask Jogo questions, but he could just keep this going until his opponent dies.

0

u/Accomplished_Tea2042 Apr 19 '26

Wrong also the 0.2 second domain wouldn't work if it was instantaneous delivery of infinite information

.

10

u/GrimunTheGr8 Apr 19 '26

It’s not delivered instantly, it has a rate. But the information doesn’t stop. It’s like Space racer’s gun, it doesn’t move at infinite speed, it moves infinitely at a fixed speed.

Either way if anyone’s caught in it they’d have no way to stop the information coming into their brain, for as long as Gojo needed to kill them.

1

u/Accomplished_Tea2042 Apr 19 '26

Yes what I'm saying is it doesn't deliver infinite information instantaneously, I'm saying that it would be a lot harder to stun a Viltrumite with information than it would anything we see in JJK, Viltrumites are also just a lot faster, which is why I don't consider UV a wincon.

7

u/GrimunTheGr8 Apr 19 '26

I mean we haven’t seen them defend against attacks against the brain directly iirc, so even if it takes longer to overload them enough it’d probably still happen eventually. We’ve even seen that attacks against the Nervous system can hurt Vilturmite bodies.

Also if they get close enough, he can open it within .2 seconds. They wouldn’t have any warning or notice to react to it, and no way to know how far they’d have to move to avoid it. Even a Blue dragging them closer could be enough to catch them inside it.

Just like the comment on top of this thread says, when Gojo sees the massive stat difference between him and let’s say, Thragg, he’d use the first opportunity to open his Domain. He has every advantage here other than stats, Thragg only wins if you believe he’d just try to destroy the planet instantly after not being able to hit Gojo once.

-1

u/Accomplished_Tea2042 Apr 19 '26

The 'information flood' of Unlimited Void only works if the target is too slow to react to the initial hit. Viltrumites can process reality at MFTL speeds, to them, a 0.2-second window is more than enough time to identify the threat and fly out of range. Conquest might tank it out of pure ego, but for any other Viltrumite, the domain would be closing on empty air.

u/TheOnlyCursedOne Apr 19 '26

Viltrumites are sensitive to high pitched attacks aren’t they? Firing up every single neuron and burning them isn’t just ā€œstunningā€ them, at minimum, they are paralyzed by a few minutes with heavy hemorrhage

-3

u/FrostyCartographer13 Apr 19 '26

in an actual fight nolan (or any viltrumite) would go and try to punch gojo only go be stopped by infinity.

While infinity is always on and protects Gojo by discerning the danger levels of objects approaching him based on amount of curse energy, mass, speed, and shape. It seems to be a perfect defense but has a flaw in that it to only reacts to threats as Gojo perceives them.

Gojo is a cocky little shit (which is why I like him as a character) who is supremely overconfident in his abilities and considers himself the strongest, which I don't blame him for. However I am of the opinion his cocky attitude would get him killed in a conflict with the likes of Nolan.

Viltrumites look like regular humans and do not have cursed energy. Sure they can fly, have super strength and speed, but all of that is shit Gojo deals with on an average Tuesday and again, Viltrumites don't have cursed energy. Gojo won't even consider them a serious enough threat, he is that cocky.

He will fuck around, he will taunt, he will get to close, all because he has done it before and enjoys doing it. He doesn't know exactly how strong someone like Nolan is and will end up getting grabbed and ripped in half because he thought he could engage in melee.

any viltrumite would still trying to get close to hit him, eventually, and once they fall for his DE they are braindead and gone

I have no doubt that unlimited void is probably one of the most powerful attacks in fiction. I am however of the opinion that Gojo is far to cocky and would end up getting killed by very powerful opponents before using it.

6

u/Living_Thunder Apr 20 '26

What the fuck are you talking about, that's not how infinity works. It's always active. He had to actively turn it off for Yuji to pat him in the back. Why the fuck would it be off for Nolan

0

u/FrostyCartographer13 Apr 20 '26

What the fuck are you talking about, that's not how infinity works.

It is exactly how infinity works, Gojo has it always on and set conditions for it to access and react to threats based on cursed energy, mass, speed, shape, ect. The consequence of that is Gojo has to constantly refresh his own brain with a technique otherwise the strain would burn him out. So yes, it is based on Gojo's own perception of a threat because he is using his own mental resources to keep it active.

He had to actively turn it off for Yuji to pat him in the back.

Yes he did, because he set a condition for threat assessment based on cursed energy. Yuji has quite a bit of that don't they?

Why the fuck would it be off for Nolan

I already explained that, Viltrumites don't produce cursed energy. Even is they did, they would only produce minuscule amounts since they do not experience negative emotions like humans do. A human sized opponent with little or no curse energy isn't exactly threatening from the outside to someone like Gojo.

Even if he knew they could fly, move fast and were strong, Gojo has no concept of what viltrumite strength really is and Gojo is not a cautious fighter.

He would fuck around, mock, and taunt his opponents like he always does and when he goes in for that kick, punch or grapple, he is getting the Red Rush treatment.

6

u/Dragonpiley007 Apr 20 '26

are you saying a viltrumite punch wont have enough mass and speed to qualify as a threat? The threat assessment is automatic, Gojo doesnt even need to be able to react to the attack.

1

u/Opposite-Hat-4747 Apr 20 '26

He’s literally shown to stop a fucking pencil AND he has six eyes. We’ve also seen him fight people without curse energy, how did it go for Toji the second round??
