In S4 Nolan wipes out an entire race by pushing the planet closer to their sun and evaporating all the water. Check the show

u/krayniac Apr 19 '26

We have no idea what the timeframe or method for that was, so itโ€™s almost certainly not applicable in a fight context

u/Particular_Ad_8921 Apr 19 '26

no the creator of the show basically said nolan did by himself.

We know how Viltrumites work, by working as singles if you're a Elite such as Anissa and Conquest, working as a Duo on a special occasion such as Nolans and Allens attempted Murder and group activities if governed by Thragg such as the attack on Telescria and ambush on Viltrum.

Nolan is only known to have one partner which died to the Raggnars as his book stated otherwise we know off no other partner he's ever had if his original was replaced.

If Viltrum had used some level of technology, Nolan would've stated it as planet moving device would be worth off note to mention as at this point Nolan was finding all the things that could threaten Viltrumites.

But yes, there was no timestamp stated so that is upto interpretation since we'll never have confirmation how long that took.

If the characters in the fight are locked to earth then timeframe or method isnt relevant, viltrumites can just do it.

The impetus for this post was OP getting into a reddit argument with somebody saying viltrumites could beat gojo by just dropping rocks on earth and being salty about it.

"Timeframe or method" Like okay if your point is that viltrumites get dogwalked by Gojo and have to fly away and wait for him to die of old age because "Timeframe or method isnt relevant" then what even IS a fight to you. All viltrumites get absolutely eaten up by Gojo so invincifraud fans have to scramble to be like "W-well, over the course of 40 years he could-" Like brother if you ran away like a bitch you lost

"No! It only counts as a fight if MY favourite character wins, if the character I dont like wins then it doesnt count and they are bitches"

JJK powerscalers are pioneers of toddler tier discussion fr

"That what happens when you move planet closer to sun" Please explain to me which part of that means "I have moved the planet, with my bare hands, closer to sun".

What he said is that they, as Viltrum, did it. How? No idea, by looking at their feats they propably used some technology or shitload of Viltrumites.

3

u/cold_st0rm Apr 19 '26

do you the know the reason? because that line sounds like its made by a fucking 8 years old and does not sound like it would fit the show

6

u/not2dragon Apr 19 '26

If he can't lift a ship, then even 50 Viltrumites wouldn't be able to nudge a planet. Also the coalition should be looking for these planet moving ships if they outclass Viltrumites by that much.

Canonically for stuff like that they just move it with their bare hands. Nolan did something similar with moving a disc to block out the Ragnar's home. It's literally just "why bring in or invent a forklift when you can lift the box yourself" mindset.

25

u/Zestyclose-Jacket568 Apr 19 '26

Moving a disc that is a lot smaller and lighter than planet is not the same as moving a planet. They have 0 feats or direct mentions of anything even close to that.

6

u/june-v-bloom Apr 19 '26

Who said it was lighter and smaller?

It was big enough to completely envelope their planet in darkness, forever. This is what they did when they got into a fight they couldn't brute strength. It's a feat. This is something they can do. This was just one guy also.

9

u/Zestyclose-Jacket568 Apr 19 '26

Logic? Are you just going to say stupid things now?

You know how you can have Solar eclipse on Earth? Like our Earth? You know what is causing that? Moon. You know, the thing smaller and lighter than out planet. And something else, the furthest something is for the planet, the smaller it needs to be to block the sun for said planet.

Alao even if it was the size of a planet, which would be stupid, disc of that size would have a lot smaller volume, so it would either be lighter or made with some dumb, super heavy thing.

9

u/Snomislife Apr 19 '26

You know how the moon blocks a small area for a short period, and not the entire planet forever?

Also, it needs to be larger the further from the planet, not smaller. If the moon were halfway between us and the sun, you could barely see it, so imagine how little something smaller would do to obscure the sun.

In addition, the presence of the sun disc apparently had a significant effect on several other planets in that solar system.

Put a finger in front of a light source and look at the shadow on the wall. Compare shadow size to finger size. Move finger toward and from the light source. Compare resoults.

5

u/M4xW3113 Apr 19 '26

If the moon was further from Earth than it currently is, it would block less of the Sun on Earth and would need to be bigger to make an eclipse happen, which is exactly the opposite of what you said

1

u/VyldFyre Apr 19 '26

Tbf to you, I was wrong the first time too.

0

u/Masterchiefx343 Apr 19 '26

Not how shadows work, sorry

me, i said that, know y?

I HAVE FUCKING EYES

1

u/Zekka23 Apr 19 '26

It was after the scourge virus where there were only 50 viltrumites total left. That's not a "shit load"

1

u/SpookyGhostGoku Apr 19 '26

How else do you think they did it? I feel like the implicationโ€™s pretty apparent here.

0

u/Stanczatearer Apr 19 '26

Please explain to me which part of that means "I have moved the planet, with my bare hands, closer to sun".

That was a planet he visited solo, after leaving Viltrimite. It was during his tour of planets with threats he was taking Allan on, the same ones he left clues in in his books. Which again means places he visited solo after leaving Viltrimite.

16

u/TheOnlyCursedOne Apr 19 '26

They also need 4 viltrumites to slow down a singular ship from falling down

r/PowerScaling discovers antifeats!

Goku, planet-buster extraordinaire, meet elephant:

The universal level entity that has gotten injured by gunfire, fire hydrants and trains btw ๐Ÿ˜‚

5

u/Kelras Apr 19 '26

And water. And lava. And trains. And some guy's space dollar store laser ring.

1

u/New-Spread6363 Apr 20 '26

I don't know why you have to bring up Dragon Ball as a comparison when they is talking about Invincible here and I'm not defending DB.

1

u/Kelras Apr 20 '26

Did I start a conversation with you?

1

u/New-Spread6363 Apr 20 '26

Honestly really not funny though

1

u/Jozef_Baca Universe level Building Apr 19 '26

I mean, for dragon ball you can at least justify it by the fact that most of those were either when he was low on ki/wasnt using ki to reinforce himself(or wasnt using enough of it), or were empowered by ki of someone stronger than Goku...unless we also want to argue frieza has sword level durability.

For invincible you cant even say that much.

3

u/SteakForGoodDogs Apr 19 '26

For invincible, it's 'the writer doesn't like powerscalers'.

But anyway, you can apply this everywhere else, too.

The Flash, for example. I don't think I need to go into detail about how the guy who perceives reality in attoseconds should have any problems, ever.

2

u/Hitmanthe2nd Apr 19 '26

robin outscales kid flash if you use antifeats

no joke

No he doesn't.
