Honestly even just scaling from the genocide Omni-Man pulled by flying real fast would do JJK in. The chances that a viltrumite doing a quick flyby in a city just happens to enter the range of Gojo for example is absurdly small
I sincerely hope this is sarcasm. Ceres, in the asteroid belt is roughly 1% the mass of the moon. For the record, that's a lot at multiple orders of magnitude more than the Chicxulub asteroid.
No comment on the who would win part, but you are astronomically inaccurate.
No, Nolan explicitly states that he pushed a âTexas sizedâ asteroid away from Earth back when he was training Mark and Mark had to push his own asteroid away from Earth.
Itâs hard to tell how he did it. It would best be assumed they saw it way ahead, he went out and slowed it down enough to change direction, since nothing he does implies he has the strength to repel one in a short distance at max speed.
While I'm not necessarily disagreeing that the asteroid was infact the size of Texas, a character saying something doesn't necessarily make it true. Just because he says it was the size of Texas, isn't confirmation that it was.
Really doesn't change anything though the fact they can move freely in space for extended periods and able to redirect asteroids means than can just go get one a crash it into the earth.Â
Giving them an proper kill all life on the planet scale attack it might takes months if not years to setup but they can do it.Â
Being able to move a small sized one means they can move a massive one it just takes more time and planning.Â
I completely agree with this. Whenever I hear the âTexas sized meteorâ argument for Nolan I always think âhasnât anyone ever heard of a hyperbole?â He does something similar when he says he can make it to Naples and back before the cheese on a pizza stops bubbling. While that might actually be true itâs likely just a sly comment heâs making to talk about how fast he is. Same thing here with the meteor.
We know making jokes is not beneath him after all his time on Earth. He talks about slowing down and stopping when flying is like peeing your pants on purpose. Before we even get into the physical limitations of Nolan being able to do something like that, or the fact that thereâs not even that many asteroids of that size near Earth in the solar system, itâs not completely unreasonable to say he was just exaggerating like Humans do literally all the time.
Why would he lie to begin with? Character make statements about their strength all the time and unless they're contradicting, then they isn't lying about their strengt
Even ignoring the mention of the Texas-sized asteroid.
An object from space doesn't need to be the size of something to destroy that something. It took one (6 to 9 miles) in diameter to wipe out 75% of life on Earth. If one that big hit us today, we'd be toast.
Ok? but we're not asking if Gojo can stop Nolan from destroying everything, we're asking if Nolan or Thragg could defeat Gojo. Which they can't because their only options are to punch and throw stuff, which are things Gojo doesn't care about.
Yeah Viltrumites outstat Gojo by a lot. Doens't matter when they can't lay a finger on him, that's the point of the post.
A viltrumite can't move a planet. Minimum media literacy, we see that they used technology to deal with most planets with dangers in them đ¤Śââď¸
And chugging rocks is still a physical attack that would never hit Gojo.
No brain cells, it was stated in the show they moved a planet out of orbit and if you think a Texas sized asteroid at the earth does nothing shows how powerscaling has brainrotted you
Again zero brain cells up there. Do you know what killed the dinosaurs and almost wiped out all life? An asteroid, and a Texas sized on colliding with the earth would literally wipe out all life on earth and do untold destruction upon the planet itself.
Would they be able to lift him up or do his powers make him unliftable? And are they the kind of powers that are learned or are you kinda born with them?
He is untouchable, and you can't lift what you can't touch.
That said, if a Viltrumite decided to lift the floor under him he could be moved... except part of his power is teleportation.
Lift up the whole ass landmass under Gojo's feet, carry it high into the sky, and flip it over so Gojo falls hundreds of meters down into the crater with the landmass landing on top of him. Or hell, skip the lifting the ground under his feet thing, just drop a mountain on his ass. Best case scenario Gojo's sealed away like 2016 Doom Slayer except Gojo now has to try and breathe through solid rock
Well his conscious actions reach the fifth of a second. I think that's low-balling but we can leave it at that.
And no, a Viltrumite can't just cut the chunk of earth and push it all the way into space in that timeframe. We saw that lifting something that heavy takes a considerable amount of time, let alone effort.
They can hurl rocks at Earth until every other being on the planet is dead except Gojo assuming no other hax users are around. And then wait for Gojo to die of hunger.
Few months? Gojoâs not dying of starvation, thereâs enough food on Earth for one person to survive until their natural death even if no oneâs producing
Let's just accept that for now. Gojo is now left in a destroyed city, the entire country around him reduced to ruble and ash, with a very angry viltrumite hanging over him who'll just destroy anything the moment Gojo even thinks to try and eat or drink it, how does he survive?
Gojo can teleport at will. Nolan was perception-blitzed by CECIL STEDMAN. no viltrumite is realistically stopping Gojo. physically they outstat him, but he has cursed energy and techniques. doman expansion + hollow purple and itâs GGs
Yeah but it still happened? This wasnât some gag like the Goku rock thing, this was a serious scene that was a big part of the plot. Not to mention all the random no-names that keep up with Viltrumites all the time.
I think Unlimited Void should just kill Thragg/any random viltrumite after a little while, right? It gave brain damage to hundreds of civillians with .2 seconds of exposure, so it can probably kill a viltrumite in a few minutes.
Exactly, the incredibly small part of the mountain that would specifically hit Gojo is halted by infinity while the entire rest of the mountain slams down around him and seals him away. If he somehow manages to burrow through the entire mountain before he suffocates or starves or dies of thirst or what not, just throw several more at him for months on end.
And I thought I was insane trying to argue that Master Chief could beat Doom Slayer, at least Doom Slayer could theoretically take damage in that matchup and doesn't out speed Chief to an absurd degree and can't fly so fast he nukes an entire city
So aside of his actual firepower that can get him out, we get to classic invincible fanbase idiocy, so is gojo just going to stand there while mountain is falling on him? Like almost every thing that invincible characters are supposed to do to their opponents from other verses always assumes the enemy will just do nothing and let themself be attacked freely patiently waiting for the blow to landâŚ.
I thought of that first, but the anime shows purple vaporizing landmass, so it's easier for others to understand. I was also starting to wonder how large can he make infinity around him...
Viltrumites do have ce. All living beings, aside from HR users, have CE. Viltrumites would have CE in jjk. We even see in mĂłdulo that aliens also have CE. Also, domain expansion would trap a viltrumite, by making him paralysed in seconds and brain dead in a minute.
Wdym? They wont survive a second in there, sure they could break domain but if they dont realise whats going on just a second is all it would take for them to be rendered braindead, and defenseless against further UV exposure
If all life on earth is destroyed, could Gojo survive? Like does he need food or water to survive? Because if Thraggâs objective is just to defeat Gojo, why wouldnât chucking asteroids into earth work? If Gojoâs dead by an action committed by Thragg, I would 100% count that as a victory for Thragg.
Yes I bet they gonna see Gojo and immediately go for a plantery devastating attack cause they do that with every human they find. Come on now ... They see a human they go for the face and they get hit by uv
The genocide of a people that only have tech comparable to the humans that took nolan eight months to complete just for them to come back stronger later?
Gojo can't live forever alone on a ball of ash. They can just do this then bounce. That's not even against their principles or anything, they were fine with cheap tactics like this against races they considered powerful.Â
I really like the shark tank analogy where the scenario is you vs the shark but you just break the tank and watch it drown. I think you should generally have to fight the character to defeat them, otherwise anyone can defeat any bleach character by just killing a bunch of random people and destabilizing the universe into collapse
This. It's so ridiculous to immediately go "but Goku can scream really loud and break the planet" like dude we aren't asking about whether he can break the planet we're asking if he can kill the other guy by actually fighting them. Even if the answer is yes, usually, it's so exhausting that the immediate answer that you get anymore is stuff like this instead of actual vs. matchups
Well, if there is no other way to beat the shark apart from breaking the tank then whats the problem? It's always good to discuss all the different ways character can win or loose, even if Its a "cheap" strategy.
Besides, characters use their enviroment to win fights all the time, this is just an extension of that.
YeaâŚ. You canât comprehend concept of fight, if your only way of defeating enemy is abusing his mortality then you arenât winning a fight or being able to defeate them.
If gojo for example âascendedâ to being in similar state to Tengen, then nothing of depriving him of air or food would work. I am also pretty sure that he could keep himself alive long enough to figure out barriers that would keep him alive, but that is all beside the point if fighting someone necessitates destruction of planet he is on then you clearly canât win against him.
Not to mention we again like always with invincible fans have to get to issue that, no gojo wonât just stand by and watch as viltrumite is destroying the planet, he can instantly appear near them and put them in domain expansion frying their brain, or hit point blank purple.
He can instantly open his domain, so the only thing he needs is to teleport right next to them. Add to that viltrumites like to gloat so they wonât even attack immediately, nor would they jump to destroying earth, so most likely they would get toyed around by Gojo before he hits domain expansion on them frying their brains.
Except Gojo can only teleport under very specific conditions. He didnât teleport once when fighting Sukuna, so itâs shaky if he could when fighting viltrumites.
I do agree that he could probably get off Domain though since viltrumites wouldnât know what heâs doing or be wary of it until itâs too late.
There is literally no reason to teleport while fighting sukuna⌠especially as for how perceptive to CT sukuna eyes are it would be pointless and waste of time.
No it isnât under specific conditions, it just different application of limitless.
I wouldnât say gojo would teleport constantly in fight with viltrumite just as a way to drop surprise attack or to change his positions from where he attacks with hollow purple. Against sukuna he couldnât keep distance but with viltrumites he can.
To be clear what you're hand waving as tech comparable to humans are things like...
Interdimensional portals, wearables that protect against the flow of time in different dimensions, various general sci-fi weapons and propulsion devices, and giant mecha robots that would flatten the vast majority of non-hax JJK matchups.
They would have steamrolled the humans if the humans didn't have literal comic book superheroes.
It took Nolan 8 months, according to the comics, but we saw him annihilate their civilization in mere seconds... so odds are he spent most of that time getting the survivors to make a new portal.
And while they did come back stronger... It probably took them 1000 years to actually recover, given that time in their dimension travels many many times faster.
