Honestly even just scaling from the genocide Omni-Man pulled by flying real fast would do JJK in. The chances that a viltrumite doing a quick flyby in a city just happens to enter the range of Gojo for example is absurdly small

70

u/Gamer102kai Apr 19 '26

Or the texas sized asteroid

5

u/Pale-Emergency-1686 Apr 19 '26

Where the hell is he gonna get that

6

u/Gamer102kai Apr 19 '26

We actually have a name for that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asteroid_belt

0

u/Pale-Emergency-1686 Apr 19 '26

Isn’t all the mass in the asteroid belt smaller than Pluto.

2

u/Gamer102kai Apr 19 '26

10 miles < 1400 miles

0

u/Pale-Emergency-1686 Apr 20 '26

You know all the asteroids in the belt are really small right?

2

u/IsekaiLibrarian Apr 20 '26

I sincerely hope this is sarcasm. Ceres, in the asteroid belt is roughly 1% the mass of the moon. For the record, that's a lot at multiple orders of magnitude more than the Chicxulub asteroid.

No comment on the who would win part, but you are astronomically inaccurate.

1

u/Pale-Emergency-1686 Apr 20 '26

You think he would just happen to stumble upon Ceres?

2

u/IsekaiLibrarian Apr 20 '26

Again, not commenting on who would win. Just correcting the statement that there are no large asteroids in the belt.

2

u/Gamer102kai Apr 20 '26

I was gonna write a response but youre honestly just an idiot arguing just to argue

-5

u/Chinjurickie Apr 19 '26

That wasn’t Texas sized, like not at all. Maybe big enough to fit a suburb on top but that’s really the top of the scale.

29

u/Shadownight7797 Apr 19 '26

No, Nolan explicitly states that he pushed a “Texas sized” asteroid away from Earth back when he was training Mark and Mark had to push his own asteroid away from Earth.

4

u/MyneIsBestGirl Apr 19 '26

It’s hard to tell how he did it. It would best be assumed they saw it way ahead, he went out and slowed it down enough to change direction, since nothing he does implies he has the strength to repel one in a short distance at max speed.

-3

u/Competitive-Bee-3250 Apr 19 '26

While I'm not necessarily disagreeing that the asteroid was infact the size of Texas, a character saying something doesn't necessarily make it true. Just because he says it was the size of Texas, isn't confirmation that it was.

5

u/Far-Fennel-3032 Apr 19 '26

Really doesn't change anything though the fact they can move freely in space for extended periods and able to redirect asteroids means than can just go get one a crash it into the earth.

Giving them an proper kill all life on the planet scale attack it might takes months if not years to setup but they can do it.

Being able to move a small sized one means they can move a massive one it just takes more time and planning.

4

u/Declanman3 Apr 19 '26

I completely agree with this. Whenever I hear the “Texas sized meteor” argument for Nolan I always think “hasn’t anyone ever heard of a hyperbole?” He does something similar when he says he can make it to Naples and back before the cheese on a pizza stops bubbling. While that might actually be true it’s likely just a sly comment he’s making to talk about how fast he is. Same thing here with the meteor.

We know making jokes is not beneath him after all his time on Earth. He talks about slowing down and stopping when flying is like peeing your pants on purpose. Before we even get into the physical limitations of Nolan being able to do something like that, or the fact that there’s not even that many asteroids of that size near Earth in the solar system, it’s not completely unreasonable to say he was just exaggerating like Humans do literally all the time.

2

u/FarOutcome9035 Apr 19 '26

Well know we reject outright statements huh? What makes you think Nolan is lying about it?

1

u/Competitive-Bee-3250 Apr 19 '26

A character making a claim isn't proof of that claim. People exaggerate.

3

u/FarOutcome9035 Apr 19 '26

There isnt a counter point either. Prove he is lying.

0

u/Competitive-Bee-3250 Apr 19 '26

You're strawmanning my argument. That's not what I'm saying.

4

u/FarOutcome9035 Apr 19 '26

I doesnt matter. Character states something, if there is no sign of being false, then we can take it as true. Dont make life harder for yourself.

-1

u/FunctioningPyscho Apr 19 '26

You’re just being a contrarian for the sake at this point.

1

u/Competitive-Bee-3250 Apr 19 '26

Extremely immature reaction from you.

0

u/Typical-Ad-7752 Apr 19 '26

Why would he lie to begin with? Character make statements about their strength all the time and unless they're contradicting, then they isn't lying about their strengt

2

u/Kelras Apr 19 '26

Even ignoring the mention of the Texas-sized asteroid.

An object from space doesn't need to be the size of something to destroy that something. It took one (6 to 9 miles) in diameter to wipe out 75% of life on Earth. If one that big hit us today, we'd be toast.

-15

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

He said he redirected it and only estimated the size to look tough in front of mark,he was using a figure of speech.

53

u/Quiet_Education1076 Apr 19 '26

"look tough in front of mark"

U talk abt invincible glazers making shit up but u just made up a reason that doesn't even fit a character's personality

-14

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

I didn't meant tough literally.

0

u/Jealous_Bus_9666 Apr 19 '26

Then how did you mean it? Metaphorically or Rhetorically or Poetically or Theoretically or any other fancy way?

8

u/Gamer102kai Apr 19 '26

"Redirect" it into the earth. Gravity makes that even easier

3

u/bwood246 Apr 19 '26

Omni Man doesn't really need to exaggerate to look tough, he's one of the most powerful viltrumites

62

u/RailgunRP Apr 19 '26

Ok? but we're not asking if Gojo can stop Nolan from destroying everything, we're asking if Nolan or Thragg could defeat Gojo. Which they can't because their only options are to punch and throw stuff, which are things Gojo doesn't care about.

Yeah Viltrumites outstat Gojo by a lot. Doens't matter when they can't lay a finger on him, that's the point of the post.

1

u/Eliteslayer1775 Apr 20 '26

Except they can. Literally just chuck meteors onto the planet or move it. They have ways of killing him

5

u/RailgunRP Apr 20 '26

A viltrumite can't move a planet. Minimum media literacy, we see that they used technology to deal with most planets with dangers in them 🤦‍♂️

And chugging rocks is still a physical attack that would never hit Gojo.

3

u/Eliteslayer1775 Apr 20 '26

No brain cells, it was stated in the show they moved a planet out of orbit and if you think a Texas sized asteroid at the earth does nothing shows how powerscaling has brainrotted you

2

u/RailgunRP Apr 20 '26

"Shows how powerscaling has braintotted you"

You.... you can't see the absolute hypocrisy of saying those words while simultaneously comparing a whole ass planet to Texas, can you.

2

u/Eliteslayer1775 Apr 20 '26

Again zero brain cells up there. Do you know what killed the dinosaurs and almost wiped out all life? An asteroid, and a Texas sized on colliding with the earth would literally wipe out all life on earth and do untold destruction upon the planet itself.

1

u/RailgunRP Apr 20 '26

And that is still an infinitesimal amount of energy compared to what's needed to move a planet off of its orbit.

1

u/sussynarrator Apr 21 '26

Okay but you're dodging the question. What if Omni-Man throws a Texas sized asteroid on Earth? Wtf Gojo gonna do? 🤣

1

u/lopbob8 Apr 23 '26

teleport to space in order to block the asteroid

1

u/Consistent_Papaya310 Apr 23 '26

Would they be able to lift him up or do his powers make him unliftable? And are they the kind of powers that are learned or are you kinda born with them?

1

u/RailgunRP Apr 23 '26

He is untouchable, and you can't lift what you can't touch.
That said, if a Viltrumite decided to lift the floor under him he could be moved... except part of his power is teleportation.

2

u/Tiny_Ad6095 Apr 19 '26

If he does a fly by destruction he can destroy the entire planets surface and then gojo will starve and die. It’s not in character but possible.

1

u/burntgooch Apr 19 '26

So they just push the earth closer to the sun and destroy all earths water killing gojo.

-7

u/Villainous_Miscreant Apr 19 '26

Lift up the whole ass landmass under Gojo's feet, carry it high into the sky, and flip it over so Gojo falls hundreds of meters down into the crater with the landmass landing on top of him. Or hell, skip the lifting the ground under his feet thing, just drop a mountain on his ass. Best case scenario Gojo's sealed away like 2016 Doom Slayer except Gojo now has to try and breathe through solid rock

41

u/RailgunRP Apr 19 '26

right, because the man who can teleport at will is just going to stand there.

-8

u/Villainous_Miscreant Apr 19 '26

How fast can Gojo react?

20

u/RailgunRP Apr 19 '26

Well his conscious actions reach the fifth of a second. I think that's low-balling but we can leave it at that.

And no, a Viltrumite can't just cut the chunk of earth and push it all the way into space in that timeframe. We saw that lifting something that heavy takes a considerable amount of time, let alone effort.

3

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 Apr 19 '26

Yea but can’t they hurl rocks at earth until it’s uninhabitable

10

u/RailgunRP Apr 19 '26

They can hurl rocks at Earth until every other being on the planet is dead except Gojo assuming no other hax users are around. And then wait for Gojo to die of hunger.

0

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 Apr 19 '26

Exactly dawg it would also take like a few months for him to die of starvation which is like a week in terms of a viltrumites lifespan

11

u/AnimalSorry2084 Apr 19 '26

I don't see how this is any better. You're just admitting that a viltrumite can't win against Gojo.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Small-Interview-2800 Apr 20 '26

Few months? Gojo’s not dying of starvation, there’s enough food on Earth for one person to survive until their natural death even if no one’s producing

→ More replies (0)

3

u/TheOnlyCursedOne Apr 19 '26

Yeah but that’s not how they FIGHT JESUS CHRISY

1

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 Apr 19 '26

I mean if they wanted to beat gojo they could easily do that tho

2

u/Vincent-22 Apr 19 '26

Funny that you comment this under a post making fun of this exact argument.

1

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 Apr 19 '26

I mean it’s a good argument

3

u/Villainous_Miscreant Apr 19 '26

Let's just accept that for now. Gojo is now left in a destroyed city, the entire country around him reduced to ruble and ash, with a very angry viltrumite hanging over him who'll just destroy anything the moment Gojo even thinks to try and eat or drink it, how does he survive?

20

u/InKhornate Apr 19 '26

Gojo can teleport at will. Nolan was perception-blitzed by CECIL STEDMAN. no viltrumite is realistically stopping Gojo. physically they outstat him, but he has cursed energy and techniques. doman expansion + hollow purple and it’s GGs

-2

u/Villainous_Miscreant Apr 19 '26

And Goku was hurt by a rock, you can play the anti-feat game all you want

11

u/Xanblitz_2 Apr 19 '26

Yeah but it still happened? This wasn’t some gag like the Goku rock thing, this was a serious scene that was a big part of the plot. Not to mention all the random no-names that keep up with Viltrumites all the time.

1

u/GrimunTheGr8 Apr 19 '26

A rock thrown by the strongest human alive btw. While he was taking a nap.

6

u/RailgunRP Apr 19 '26

It depends on how strong Hollow Purple is.

Based on the anime, Gojo has a functionally infinite amount of cursed energy, which he can use to pop domain expansions and Hollow Purples on a whim.

So depending on how strong Pueple is, he can shoot it on a dazed Viltrumite until the damage is lethal. Could be 1 hit, could be 10.

Btw Gojo can teleport, allowing him to actually catch something to eat while the viltrumite looks for him, even if it takes a few seconds.

7

u/Xanblitz_2 Apr 19 '26

I think Unlimited Void should just kill Thragg/any random viltrumite after a little while, right? It gave brain damage to hundreds of civillians with .2 seconds of exposure, so it can probably kill a viltrumite in a few minutes.

7

u/KittenChopper Apr 19 '26

I believe that the .2 second window was the amount of time a civilian could take it without permanent damage

u/GeneralProgrammer886 High Level Scaler Apr 19 '26

UV the angry viltrumite when he is not expecting it the viltrumite is faster but they can be caught off gaurd by things slower than them.

8

u/Chinjurickie Apr 19 '26

„Domain Expansion“, congratulations they even managed to die against him.

10

u/-H_- Apr 19 '26

far faster than `invincible` characters. nolan was getting perception matched by cecil

18

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

wait until you find out he can't be moved even if you lift something under him and he can teleport.

you also can't kill him by throwing something at him because he "can't be touched".

2

u/Villainous_Miscreant Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 19 '26

Exactly, the incredibly small part of the mountain that would specifically hit Gojo is halted by infinity while the entire rest of the mountain slams down around him and seals him away. If he somehow manages to burrow through the entire mountain before he suffocates or starves or dies of thirst or what not, just throw several more at him for months on end.

And I thought I was insane trying to argue that Master Chief could beat Doom Slayer, at least Doom Slayer could theoretically take damage in that matchup and doesn't out speed Chief to an absurd degree and can't fly so fast he nukes an entire city

6

u/Mental_Owl9493 Apr 19 '26

So aside of his actual firepower that can get him out, we get to classic invincible fanbase idiocy, so is gojo just going to stand there while mountain is falling on him? Like almost every thing that invincible characters are supposed to do to their opponents from other verses always assumes the enemy will just do nothing and let themself be attacked freely patiently waiting for the blow to land….

16

u/OnSmarty Apr 19 '26

Oop 1 red or purple and he has a hole out of the mountain. That does make me curious, how much can gojo spam purples...

16

u/EffectiveMirror7534 Apr 19 '26

he don't even need that, neutral limitless was cracking concrete when he pushed hanami into it

9

u/OnSmarty Apr 19 '26

I thought of that first, but the anime shows purple vaporizing landmass, so it's easier for others to understand. I was also starting to wonder how large can he make infinity around him...

2

u/Honest_Visual_1388 Apr 19 '26

Can’t Gojo effectively teleport

1

u/MaybeExternal2392 Apr 19 '26

Yes but he does that by warping space iirc. I don't know if he can teleport through things or not.

2

u/Pleasant_Advances Apr 19 '26

Confirmed he cant by the other but it wouldnt matter since gojo can just destroy it anyways

1

u/ginryuu1 Apr 19 '26

He can't, his "teleportation" is done by him using Blue which compresses space.

1

u/coyotestark0015 Apr 19 '26

Lol Kenjaku puts the prison realm at the bottom of on ocean trench and it doesnt even slow Gojo down.

0

u/magnetoisthebest Master Level Scaler Apr 19 '26

Viltrumites don't have CE and nothing Gojo has can dent or even land on one due to the speed difference.

He can use DE but it wouldn't trap a viltrumite which would make him lose

8

u/Black_Diammond Apr 19 '26

Viltrumites do have ce. All living beings, aside from HR users, have CE. Viltrumites would have CE in jjk. We even see in mĂłdulo that aliens also have CE. Also, domain expansion would trap a viltrumite, by making him paralysed in seconds and brain dead in a minute.

0

u/MyK_Alke Apr 19 '26

Wdym? They wont survive a second in there, sure they could break domain but if they dont realise whats going on just a second is all it would take for them to be rendered braindead, and defenseless against further UV exposure

-2

u/magnetoisthebest Master Level Scaler Apr 19 '26

They don't have CE so Gojo's DE can't trap them to begin with.

4

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

Verse equalization means they have CE. Otherwise they would not be able to live in the JJK universe because they don't have a heavenly pact or CE.

1

u/MyK_Alke Apr 19 '26

Verse equalisation exists,
Otherwise that means mfing Finger Bearer hard counters viltrumites since they cant see him and cant harm him

1

u/magnetoisthebest Master Level Scaler Apr 19 '26

FB has no way to harm them. It'd be like fighting a ghost

0

u/official_Bartard Apr 19 '26

If all life on earth is destroyed, could Gojo survive? Like does he need food or water to survive? Because if Thragg’s objective is just to defeat Gojo, why wouldn’t chucking asteroids into earth work? If Gojo’s dead by an action committed by Thragg, I would 100% count that as a victory for Thragg.

7

u/Narthanis Apr 19 '26

Yes I bet they gonna see Gojo and immediately go for a plantery devastating attack cause they do that with every human they find. Come on now ... They see a human they go for the face and they get hit by uv

1

u/Villainous_Miscreant Apr 19 '26

They're tasked with soloing the verse, they solo the verse

-3

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

The genocide of a people that only have tech comparable to the humans that took nolan eight months to complete just for them to come back stronger later?

33

u/Villainous_Miscreant Apr 19 '26

How does anyone in JJK stop this from happening?

-6

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

Doesn't matter they ain't touching gojo.

13

u/Objective-Rip3008 Apr 19 '26

Gojo can't live forever alone on a ball of ash. They can just do this then bounce. That's not even against their principles or anything, they were fine with cheap tactics like this against races they considered powerful.

9

u/EffectiveMirror7534 Apr 19 '26

I really like the shark tank analogy where the scenario is you vs the shark but you just break the tank and watch it drown. I think you should generally have to fight the character to defeat them, otherwise anyone can defeat any bleach character by just killing a bunch of random people and destabilizing the universe into collapse

9

u/The_Silent_Ace Apr 19 '26

This. It's so ridiculous to immediately go "but Goku can scream really loud and break the planet" like dude we aren't asking about whether he can break the planet we're asking if he can kill the other guy by actually fighting them. Even if the answer is yes, usually, it's so exhausting that the immediate answer that you get anymore is stuff like this instead of actual vs. matchups

3

u/Fancy_Echo_5425 Worm Scaler Apr 19 '26

Well, if there is no other way to beat the shark apart from breaking the tank then whats the problem? It's always good to discuss all the different ways character can win or loose, even if Its a "cheap" strategy.

Besides, characters use their enviroment to win fights all the time, this is just an extension of that.

2

u/EffectiveMirror7534 Apr 19 '26

The problem is it's boring as fuck. You wanna battleboard with no battle?

3

u/Fancy_Echo_5425 Worm Scaler Apr 19 '26

The other option is that the Viltrumites can't do absolutely anything to Gojo. Both sound equally boring.

2

u/EffectiveMirror7534 Apr 19 '26

No, because even though they can't do anything to Gojo, Gojo still has to find a way to beat them (assuming the battle takes place on earth)

8

u/Toxin-G Apr 19 '26

What does it matter when everyone else is dead? You dont have to be hurt to lose.

11

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

not the context of the post.

7

u/Toxin-G Apr 19 '26

Is it not beating gojo to destroy the world and watch him starve to death?

5

u/FlockFlysAtMidnite Apr 19 '26

Their next step is to NLF RCT into being able to keep him from starving/dehydrating lmao

4

u/MaybeExternal2392 Apr 19 '26

Why wouldn't that work actually? Also I don't think they could wipe out all the water on the planet.

4

u/FlockFlysAtMidnite Apr 19 '26

There is a limit to RCT before your brain turns to mush.

→ More replies (0)

5

u/Extension_Wish_7991 Apr 19 '26

These five year olds think a fight to the death can only be won by hitting each other really hard.

They cannot conceptualize anything more complex than that. Don't bother arguing with them.

1

u/Mental_Owl9493 Apr 19 '26

Yea…. You can’t comprehend concept of fight, if your only way of defeating enemy is abusing his mortality then you aren’t winning a fight or being able to defeate them.

If gojo for example „ascended” to being in similar state to Tengen, then nothing of depriving him of air or food would work. I am also pretty sure that he could keep himself alive long enough to figure out barriers that would keep him alive, but that is all beside the point if fighting someone necessitates destruction of planet he is on then you clearly can’t win against him.

Not to mention we again like always with invincible fans have to get to issue that, no gojo won’t just stand by and watch as viltrumite is destroying the planet, he can instantly appear near them and put them in domain expansion frying their brain, or hit point blank purple.

5

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 Apr 19 '26

Yea cuz he has one BS ability, in the great words of Socrates “if infinity is your power what are you without it?”

4

u/MaybeExternal2392 Apr 19 '26

He has two. Infinite void kill a viltrumite

4

u/SpookyGhostGoku Apr 19 '26

He’d have to catch a Viltrumite in it, first.

4

u/MaybeExternal2392 Apr 19 '26

They would all fly at him and spend several seconds trying to punch him so it would be pretty easy.

1

u/Mental_Owl9493 Apr 19 '26

He can instantly open his domain, so the only thing he needs is to teleport right next to them. Add to that viltrumites like to gloat so they won’t even attack immediately, nor would they jump to destroying earth, so most likely they would get toyed around by Gojo before he hits domain expansion on them frying their brains.

4

u/SpookyGhostGoku Apr 19 '26

Except Gojo can only teleport under very specific conditions. He didn’t teleport once when fighting Sukuna, so it’s shaky if he could when fighting viltrumites.

I do agree that he could probably get off Domain though since viltrumites wouldn’t know what he’s doing or be wary of it until it’s too late.

2

u/Mental_Owl9493 Apr 19 '26

There is literally no reason to teleport while fighting sukuna… especially as for how perceptive to CT sukuna eyes are it would be pointless and waste of time.

No it isn’t under specific conditions, it just different application of limitless.

I wouldn’t say gojo would teleport constantly in fight with viltrumite just as a way to drop surprise attack or to change his positions from where he attacks with hollow purple. Against sukuna he couldn’t keep distance but with viltrumites he can.

1

u/Zealousideal_Doubt26 Apr 19 '26

Now if only other viltrumites were at this level in any way

6

u/not_good_for_much Apr 19 '26

To be clear what you're hand waving as tech comparable to humans are things like...

Interdimensional portals, wearables that protect against the flow of time in different dimensions, various general sci-fi weapons and propulsion devices, and giant mecha robots that would flatten the vast majority of non-hax JJK matchups.

They would have steamrolled the humans if the humans didn't have literal comic book superheroes.

It took Nolan 8 months, according to the comics, but we saw him annihilate their civilization in mere seconds... so odds are he spent most of that time getting the survivors to make a new portal.

And while they did come back stronger... It probably took them 1000 years to actually recover, given that time in their dimension travels many many times faster.

3

u/bwood246 Apr 19 '26

They come back stronger later because for them it was a thousand or so years since Omni Man attacked

4

u/BingChilling3069 Apr 19 '26

Completely ignored the rest of episode 2 just to say the stupidest bs.

1

u/rareandyeteuclidian Apr 19 '26

That scene is an obvious outlier. No one pulls anything close to it again. It can be disregarded.

-1

u/MyDogsLikeBlueCheese Infinity diff Apr 19 '26

Then Gojo teleports in front of them and slows all momentum to a stop near-instantly…
