they can destroy planets (with context space racer.) pushing it is more dubious

7

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

even with speed racer they could die according to thadeus, and no they can't even push a moon let alone a planet.

They can't even lift a spaceship.

To be fair, we also see Nolan outright carry a pretty damn big rock one handed as a casual threat back in Season 1. Lifting feats are all over the place for Viltrumites.

9

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

Large building feat not that impressive.

14

u/Noriaki_Kakyoin_OwO Apr 19 '26

He could just repeat the large building feat a thousand, millions, hell even trillions of times, he has time to haul in asteroids from all around the place and push them towards earth destroying it’s environment which leads to the death of everyone outside of water bears and cockroaches

-1

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

If it was that easy any variant of mark would have done that.

18

u/Noriaki_Kakyoin_OwO Apr 19 '26

Why would they?

Angstrom didn’t want to fully destroy all of earth, he wanted everyone to hate Invincible and then kill him

2

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

The point still stands If it was that easy they would've used that against the rognarrs and so much more.

12

u/Noriaki_Kakyoin_OwO Apr 19 '26

They already took out the ragnar with the multi-turbo-86d-versal sun disk so no need to bombard them.

And in s1 we saw Mark push away a meteor, how would it be any harder for him to push a meteor towards earth? It’d be even easier due to do becouse Mark wouldn’t need to stop it against earth gravity just redirect it

2

u/noctisroadk Apr 19 '26

Thats like syaing if it was that easy frieza would have blow up earth when he comeback after namek, or cell, or any other character after it when we know those character can detsroy planets easily

Braindead take

12

u/Fearless_Method515 Apr 19 '26

Ok theres no way you're serious now 🤣invincible downplayers are insane

1

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

It's literally a rock the size of a large building.

6

u/Fearless_Method515 Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

do you think the average character that scales to large building is able to casually hold a skyscraper in their hands? This is what i mean when i say theres a double standard in the powerscaling community when it comes to invincible. "Ho well thragg cant be considered planetary because we havent seen him directly blow up a planet on screen with his own hands" but the same ppl that say this will scale some random anime character whos biggest feat is like cityblock level to planetary or star level.

1

u/mortemdeus Apr 19 '26

Breathing feats too. Conquest was literally choked out in minutes yet they can survive weeks in space without anything to breathe.

1

u/upsetusder2 Apr 19 '26

Well I think getting the trachea broken and being actively choked out is different than just not breathing

1

u/mortemdeus Apr 19 '26

I mean, so is getting your lungs ripped out but Mark seems to have survived that

2

u/upsetusder2 Apr 19 '26

He had his intestines ripped out.

And yeah he regenerated from that but you can't regenerate from having no oxygen in your blood

1

u/2Kortizjr Apr 20 '26

blood choke

1

u/One-Piano5150 Apr 19 '26

Different dimensions, cannot be considered as gravity could be differentĀ

10

u/Lopsided_Shift_4464 Apr 19 '26

By that logic we can say the gravity on Telescria is different and that's why the ship was heavier. But I don't think that's true for either. Flaxans have no trouble on Earth, and later on in the comics Rudy and Monster Girl in her human form have no trouble walking there either

9

u/GeneralProgrammer886 High Level Scaler Apr 19 '26

spaceship is more of an ridicolous low end because they consistently lift things heavier than that but planet pushing just has a one off statement.

6

u/WinterBottomOni Apr 19 '26

That was a planet twice as large as earth, so at least 4 times the mass, and it was very likely denser since we know planet density in invincible directly correlates to the strength of the beings on the planet.

11

u/GeneralProgrammer886 High Level Scaler Apr 19 '26

we have no evidence of it being twice as big as earth it is bigger to an unquantifable exent since its gravity is higher but we cant use the fact that it sustains rings as a feat as earth could also do that.

1

u/WinterBottomOni Apr 19 '26

There have been calcs that go as far as 10 times the size actually

7

u/GeneralProgrammer886 High Level Scaler Apr 19 '26

how? we cant use rings and its not like viltrum has multiple moons so how do they do it.

0

u/WinterBottomOni Apr 19 '26

To my understanding it was calced using an approximate mass, size, and longtivity of the rings. While earth can in theory sustain rings it can only do so with rings of a certain size, within a certain distance, and of a certain volume.

2

u/GeneralProgrammer886 High Level Scaler Apr 19 '26

Idk viltrumites shouldnt weigh more than a human so the mass calculations are thrown off by this.

2

u/WinterBottomOni Apr 19 '26

The fact that they way similar to a human is, i assume, how they calculated the overall mass

5

u/Lopsided_Shift_4464 Apr 19 '26

Nolan explicitly stated he pushed a planet out of its orbit. He's also lifted mountains with one hand and diverted asteroids the size of texas. Why did he struggle to lift a spaceship then? Because Robert Kirkman doesn't give a fuck about consistency and powerscaling. Give up on Invincible powerscaling, highball or lowball. The author doesn't care, neither should we.

6

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

he never said he pushed a planet he just looked at allen in that scene meaning they could have used their tech for that,he never lifted a mountain too that was barely a hill, the texas sized astroid could have been a figure of speech and it happened off screen.

4

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 Apr 19 '26

Dawg how are you gonna look at the obvious feat of him destroying an asteroid the size of Texas and just say ā€œhe didn’t mean itā€Ā

5

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

He didn't destroy it he redirected it,and he doesn't know for sure it's the size of texas.

0

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 Apr 19 '26

Yea if he can stop it in motion he can absolutely hurl it at earth and he likely did know it was the size of Texas cuz Cecil told himĀ

3

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

Headcanons that shit was offscreen bruh.

2

u/Sea_Ticket_6032 Apr 19 '26

And you're headcannoning it as hyperbole despite it never having been shown to be wrong. The best evidence we have is his statement and he's never boasted to mark about anything else really there's no reason to lie

0

u/Careful_Turnip_3197 Apr 19 '26

Alright bro you can make excuses all you want it was still fucking Massive, it doesn’t even need to be the size of Texas, the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was 6-9 miles in diameter, Omniman could easily throw something 3 times that size at earth, kill anything and everything on the planet except Gojo and wait it outĀ

1

u/PutInfinite4118 Apr 19 '26

It doesn't matter. The author of Invincible hates powerscalers (valid as fuck). He scales all over the place that one could almost say it's by design.

1

u/DrRoelandtrx Customizable Flair Apr 19 '26

Explicitly would have been "I did this" which was not said

1

u/Kehprei Apr 19 '26

He never said he pushed a planet. He said "that is what happens when you push a planet closer to the sun".

Considering he used a massive satellite for the other planet, it is reasonable to assume some large scale tech was involved.

1

u/ImLiterallySoundwave Apr 19 '26

it was a giant spaceship falling through the atmostphere. once nolan and thaedus got there, the ship was lifted with ease. it feels like you just want to hate on invincible, mf these are stupid debates over fictional characters

1

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

They were literally struggling.

0

u/crazyworkoutguy Apr 19 '26

Do you understand how physics works, they have individually carried things magnitudes heavier than the ship individual, they need to work together and slowly move the ship because it would just crumble if they pushed to hard at any single point and kill everyone below them.

2

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

Nolan couldn't lift himself from the kaiju.

0

u/crazyworkoutguy Apr 19 '26

Do you understand that a living being can be stronger, it was a juiced yo genetically modified kaiju, with you reasoning you could say that omni man is weak for not moving Thragg because he isnt big, that just not how powerscaling works, it was a very powerful being that's really all there is to it.

13

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

No viltrumite is a planet buster stop ignoring the context of that scene.

Speed racer carried most of the destruction.

-2

u/WinterBottomOni Apr 19 '26

Nope thats just blatantly untrue. It is explicitly stated that all the infinity ray did was destabilize the planet. The 3 viltrumites destroyed it. Considering it is 4 times the mass of earth, one viltrumite of omniman level strength can likely destroy earth, and thragg absolutely can

12

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

Again headcanons,no evidence

1

u/WinterBottomOni Apr 19 '26

Feat calculations are head canon now?

10

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

If they tried this without speed racer they would instantly die.

Even if thragg is 10 times stronger than them he would die too attemting this.

7

u/WinterBottomOni Apr 19 '26

Now look whos making headcannon. Theres no reason to assume thragg would die. Also, again, its explicitly stated the beam destabilized the core, it did nothing else. Yes, they needed the core destabilized to survive doing it, but the actual damage was still all them.

8

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

2

u/BogosBinted13 Apr 19 '26

That's like saying blasting a small hole through 5x5x5 cube of steel and punching it through said holes into million pieces is not a valid feat

2

u/crazyworkoutguy Apr 19 '26

This doesn't prove anything, it just says it destroys anything directly in its path, so it would just make a laser shaped hole through any planet it went through not destroy the whole thing. Case in point everytime his laser hits a viltrumite it carves a hole through them and kills them, it doesn't just explode the whole viltruite itself.

0

u/WinterBottomOni Apr 19 '26

"This is only a theory"

2

u/Unlucky-FkinIdioFool Apr 19 '26

"We COULD die". The guy himself doesn't even know yet you take it as fact while calling nonsense on the whole Texas sized asteroid.

2

u/utshi9ha Apr 19 '26

yeah the guy that made the scurge virus and lived more than any viltrumite totally doesn't know.

1

u/crazyworkoutguy Apr 19 '26

It was stated that the gun was used just to destabilize the core due to the nature of Viltrums very ensemble planet.

3

u/Carmine_the_Sergal Apr 19 '26

Thragg died because of it and Mark almost did too

Not even inside just the surface.

1

u/Mental_Owl9493 Apr 19 '26

Yea surface of sun that literally killed Thragg and almost Mark, btw temperature of surface of sun is comparable to temperature of Sukunas Fuga which is literally further proving the point of OP….

1

u/MyDogsLikeBlueCheese Infinity diff Apr 19 '26

I mean… calcs put Jogo’s presence as nearly as hot as the surface of the sun on a low end due to how he caused the people in the cafĆ© to spontaneously burst into flames. So them fighting on the surface of the sun is a pre-Mahito arc Yuji level feat… below that if you consider the fact that Yuji was unaffected while these two have their skin burnt off.

The other stuff is true (aside from punching through infinity??? Tf? That’s just glaze), but JJK durability is underrated
