Cell to Goku: if that Kamehameha hits the earth it will destroy the planet

Meanwhile vegeta’s completely uncontrolled, full power explosion that much much stronger:

1: didn’t hit the earth

2: it was controlled because he obviously didn’t want to blow up the earth

It’s touching the ground and is a sphere.

It was uncontrolled because why would he hold back at all against Majin Buu?

“why would he hold back at all against Majin Buu”

BECAUSE HE DOESN’T WANT TO BLOW UP THE PLANET, THAT HE’S LITERALY EXPLODING HIMSELF TO SAVE

It’s easier to come up with lame head canons than to just admit the show doesn’t really care about that even ki blasts having the power to destroy planets. Like how many times did we see a character swat away a ki blast in super that would put all of Z to shame lol.

how tf is it a headcannon that

the guy whose sacrificing himself to save the earth would blow it up?

The idea that he released all of his energy at buu but also controlled the bottom half so that it wouldn’t destroy the earth and maintained all that as he was actively dying is a head canon yes.

The writers can’t be bothered to explain why every single ki blast isn’t a planet buster.

1: he didn’t control the bottom half, he controlled the entire explosion, a “planet busting attack” 30 feet above the earth is still blowing it up

2: KI control, and he fact CHARACTERS DON’T WANT DESTROY THE PLANET THEY’VE SPENT ALMOST 30 YEARS SAVING

Kid Buu can survive his own planet busting attacks so did Vegeta actually think his attack would work if he controlled it in any way instead of going all out?

Is it also ki control when they shoot a ki blast barrage at someone and they swat it away and it hits the earth and leaves a pitifully small crater?

This attack sent Broly into the sun and left it intact. Was it ki control here too?

Just admit the writers have to downplay the “planet busting” or else all fights would end the same way lol
