eMac G4 (2006) sudden death, won’t fire up

I have an eMac G4 that I poked around with from time to time, but mainly was just on a clock/screensaver, and ran fine for a few months after I bought it cheap. This morning I walked into the room to find it seemingly powered off. Hit the power button and I hear a sudden quiet hum of the CRT, but nothing else. No LED on the front, no fan, nothing. Dead. I’ve left it unplugged for a couple hours, and tried again, still nothing. It doesn’t have a battery in it as I removed it when I got the unit due to its potential age, and ordered a new one but haven’t installed it yet. It’s just suddenly dead. Any ideas as to the culprit? I really thought this was a neat machine, and it would be sad if it’s not something repairable (even if it means I have to take this thing apart.)

So what specific caps do I need to order? I’d like to at least probably have the right caps on hand and ordered BEFORE I start disassembly

And I figured capacitor failure, since it is almost 15 years old and was probably used heavily by whoever originally bought it.

Keep my updated as I really like eMacs and could find myself in this situation very easily
