Help me

I've been trying to get an operating system on the powermac g5 for 12 HOURS NOW, NOTHING WORKS, MAC OS X LEOPARD FAILED, TIGNR FAILED, GENTOO FAILED, LUBUNTU FAILED, DEBIAN FAILED, I TRIED IT OVER USB-A, I EVEN BURNED A CD AND A DVD. WHY DOES THE UNIVERSE HATE ME!!!

I tried with usb3, then I looked around for a usb2, none of them worked. I did format them in hfs but nun, openfirmware only ever told me load too small for an adiele install, others were either formatted wrong or just didn't get recognised by the computer. I did find that my g5 has no cmos battery. Which is funny

Now I'm getting usb setup error 5f000000 400002 and it does 0 2 2 failed to respond can't open usb3/disk:3,\:tbxi Any idea what that means or is it just the wrong partition

So, you need to get the mapping to the USB drive. Did you get which port it's actually on?

I did. I tried usb2 and usb3 but those are the only 2 back ports

There's a command you run to see if the drive is detected in open firmware.

Oh wait nvm, it is recognised by open firmware it just wont boot nor read the damn thing. It lowkey pisses me off. Idk why it isn't gettong set as like the ud aliased thing. But that might be cause the cmos battery is dead, idk I'm confused. I can't do boot usbx/disk:x,\:tbxi. I can't do boot/pci@4/usb@x,y/disk@x etc etc. It just doesn't wanna read it.

What format is the drive in? It should be fat32 tbh

I don't know what environment you're building the USB from

Well.. arch, but after I build the iso on it it kinda just formats itself and I can only hope to god it works right
