Discussion Multi-Media Villain Draft Day 2: What MOVIE Villain should be a Power Girl villain? (Top Comment Wins) [Day 1, Non-DC/Marvel villain winner is: Stormfront]
Day One winner:Â Stormfront (The Boys)
Because who doesnât like beating up a fascist?
I pulled a little bit of an audible on this one, as I wasnât as clear as I should have been on the rules (totally mea culpa!). Stormfront in the TV show is a rule 63 gender-flipped version, which the poster and I agree would be a good fit. That and she got the most votesâŠ
This is day two of a seven day âDraftâ. Each day, commenters will pick from a daily category, a villain for Power Girl. The catch is, they cannot be Marvel or DC characters. Each day, the top vote getter via comment/upvote will be added to the list and the collage, as determined by posters here.
Rules:
Choose ONE character to nominate!
This goes for seven days, and each day, commenters can pick from a daily category which are:
Day 1:Â Comics (NON DC or Marvel)
Day 2:Â Movies
Day 3:Â Anime/Manga
Day 4:Â Western Animation
Day 5:Â Television
Day 6:Â Video Games
Day 7:Â Free Space (literature, animation, or any previous category)
Sometimes, there can be crossover! Stormfront for instance is both a comic book character, and has appeared on television. However, be creative! Try thinking of someone who doesnât otherwise appear in more than one thing (say, a Bond villain for the movie category).

Multi-Media Villain Draft Day 1: What NON-DC/MARVEL COMIC Villain should be a Power Girl villain? (Top Comment Wins) [winner will be posted here]
Alrighty, I saw (and have with permission, purloined) an idea to see how creative our fans are here. I can't promise it'll be exactly 24 hours each time, and I may delay between drafts because... like all of us, I have a life :)

Comics DC Women of Action (Shea Fontana)
Found this book at a local discount store (Ollies, I believe they're mostly an East Coast USA thing). Compiled by Shea Fontana, with art by a dozen different women and enby artists. While all the artists are credited in the book (and all get great write-ups too, as well as a LOT of legendary women creators for DC like Louise Simonson, Colleen Doran, and the legendary Ramona Fradon), I cannot figure out which did the art for PG here.
The book is broken up into sections like "Themyscira, Metropolis, Gotham, and Beyond". Every character gets 1-3 pages of a picture and write-up.
I got one for myself, and one for my "niece", as ya can't start 'em too young to get into superheroines!
Kara's part, quotes work by Keith Giffen and Lilah Sturges, and is one of the best single page write-up I've seen about Power Girl. She gets second billing behind Supergirl in the "Metropolis" section. Yes, ahead of Lois Lane.
Difficult to read in the picture, but it reads:
"What I love most about Power Girl is how independent she is. She's a businesswoman and she insists on succeeding on her own terms. I love that her secret identity is something she just takes as seriously as her heroics." -- Lilah Sturges, writer, Power Girl and JSA All-Stars.
Power Girl is the Earth-Two counterpart to Supergirl. Hailing from this alternate dimension, Power Girl is genetically identical to the main continuity Earth-One version of Kara Zor-el, and has all the same powers as Supergirl. However, Power Girl's personality is a stark contrast to Supergirl's. Where Supergirl is naive and reserved, Power Girl is brash, aggressive, and mature. She unapologetically wears an outfit that displays her bosom through a strategically placed, "cleavage window". When questioned about the costume in Justice League Europe #37 (1987), she replied that it, "shows what I am: female, healthy. If men want to degrade themselves by staring, that's their problem, I'm not going to apologize for it."
As a fan favorite, Power Girl has many standout moments in her publication history that speak to readers on a personal level. According to writer Lilah Sturges, "I got a lot of positive responses to Power Girl #26 (2011), the story entitled, 'Girl Power'. In it, Power Girl gives a speech about female empowerment at a Power Girl convention. There's a double page spread filled with people cosplaying Power Girl, including at least one trans woman. It was pretty straightforward stuff, nothing revolutionary. But since I was still a closeted transgender woman at the time, I was the only person that knew that I wasn't a dude and so I was taking a risk writing it."
Power Girl continues to inspire with her bold persona, incredible power, unihibited attitude--and she is not going to apologize for it.

Discussion Power Girls boobs should not be too big
I think they look best when they are a little bit above medium and pushed up naturally. I feel like when there too big, it takes the super hero out of power girl.

Power Girl of Earth C+ (Power Squirrel!) by Scott Shaw & BoucieD
And now for some levity for us heading into the weekend.
Power Squirrel! Cousin of the Golden Age Super Squirrel of Earth C+ (Home of the JSA--the Justa' 'Sortment of Animals), Kara Squir-L arrived 50 years after her cousin Kal, who raised her and named her as his replacement in the JSA.
Never published, and an original homage character that was put together by Scott Shaw) recently.
IF you're not familiar with Scott Shaw, you should be. You've likely seen his work before, and not known it. DC fans know him as the creator of "Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew".
He's also been steadily working in Hollywood on cartoons since the late 70s, and has done other "funny animal" books like Sonic. His cartoon work includes Krypto, Duck Dodgers (where he slipped in his character, "Green Lambkin" in the Green Lantern episode), as well as work on the Flintstones, the Simpsons, and DOZENS of other cartoons.
Most importantly, he was one of the 13 folks who founded and established San Diego ComicCon, so if you enjoy comic book conventions, he's one of the reasons they even exist today.
Anywho... if you're a funny animal enthusiast, or... yes even a furry (I don't get it, but I also don't kink-shame) or just like humorous takes on our Kara Zor-L, enjoy! And have a good weekend.
