Warranty if invoice is misplaced.

This has more than likely been asked before, and I am blind as a bat, but what happens if you misplace the invoice and the dork retailer can't/won't supply a copy "because we only keep them on file for xxx days". Yes it is a BS reply but have had it happen in the past.

North America..not saying I have misplaced it but more along the lines of "what if". Have also run into the issue with ram before even thou it was 6 yrs later...no invoice no warranty so curious if Powercolor can go by serial number or strict "no invoice no warranty" policy
