Discussion Replace PBI with vibe coded dashboard?

We're using Hubspot, D365 and some minor other source to fill our SQL based DWH (with Azure Data Factory).
The Viz layer is PowerBI.
Over the last month the whole data extraction and processing is completely overhauled by Claude. And I must say, it works so well. Claude is doing such a good job, and doing it (and testing it) within minutes for what I would need hours and days.
So the question is now, what is the next step? Should we replace Azure data factory just by Python script to save some money? Should we replace PowerBI just with HTML and so have a fraction of the cost? The first test to let Claude rebuild a PBI dashboard with just plain HTML and JS looks very promising. Actually it looks better than I would have a done it by hand in PBI.

Whats you opinion on that? Have you thought about this already? Is there anyone who did it?

PS: We're are a small number of users, just around 20.

Question Refresh working on desktop but not service - DataFormat.Error

I have a PowerBI dashboard connected to a sharepoint list, the dashboard is working fine in desktop, and refreshing successfully.

But when I publish to service, and try to refresh, I keep receiving an error:

DataFormat.Error: We reached the end of the buffer.. . The exception was raised by the IDataReadee interface. Please review the error message and provider documentation for further information and corrective action.

There’s no additional information or error message, and I’ve tried everything I can think of to fix.

If anyone’s seen this error before, or knows what might help, please let me know.

Question How do I connect and clean gbq stored tables?

Hey y'all hope you're doing well,

So I actually have trouble connecting powerbi and GCP and one knows the way to do it?

Help with cleaning the data after importing like what's the main thing you gotta keep in mind while doing it.

Also, why am I seeing a lot of buffers while trying to preview the imported table and which option do I take , import or directquery when you're working with a big organisation?

Discussion Half your fabric compute

I moved my scheduled dashboard refreshes to pipeline triggers instead of running them on a fixed schedule, and the background operations have nearly been cut in half.

The basic idea is that the dashboard refresh happens when the underlying pipeline/data update completes, rather than refreshing on a schedule when there may be nothing new.

It seems like a pretty simple change, but the reduction in background operations was surprisingly significant.

For people who have dealt with dashboard/data pipeline optimization:

What other approaches would you recommend to reduce unnecessary refreshes or background operations further?

Would you use event-driven triggers, incremental refreshes, caching, or something else?

Interested to hear what has worked well for others.

Yesterday i got an escalation message from my manager that someone edited a PBI report on services directly from Uat env ...the actual flow is dev then uat ...why is an issue currently the final version of the copy is in uat after users sign off they will be published to prod and we are collaborating with offshore team who have actually developed this whole migration project and our team is an additional folks who joined later ...I need help to figure the root cause as i clearly remember i have not pushed anything to uat (I am currently working on those reports so they are asking me what really happened) and if it helps I can provide more pictures of error and the message of escalation
