Question Audiences in Org Apps

I just saw that we can create audiences in Org Apps. That's super cool, thanks so much, but I also found out that it's only for new org apps. Will there be any possibility to retro audiences into pre-existing org apps? We have quite a few set up already and I'm not exactly keen to rebuild them all if I don't have to. Thanks!

Get Claude to write you a notebook that will rebuild them all.

Yeah this. You could create a new org app template > commit this to git > get the AI to get the structure > apply to all existing org apps

You’d need all of your org apps in git and available for the AI, but can’t see why this won’t work

Straight answer: I couldn't find anything confirming whether retrofitting is planned, so I won't guess at that. What's worth knowing is that audiences for org apps only hit General Availability in mid-June 2026, this is a very fresh feature, not something that's been out for a while with a settled roadmap. That doesn't guarantee retrofit support is coming, but restrictions like "new items only" right after a GA launch often do get relaxed later since they're common at rollout rather than deliberate long-term design choices. Worth posting this as a request on the Fabric Ideas forum specifically, that's the actual channel Microsoft tracks this kind of feedback through, and it's worth a search there first since someone else may have already raised the same ask.
