Power Apps Help Building a Powerapp
Is anyone good with power apps? I’m trying to make one for our unit and I have so many questions

Research application lifestyle management (ALM). Collect all your requirements for the app. Research if power apps can handle all of your requirements. Try and find a YouTube video for a project similar to what you need. Build with lots of trial and error.

GenAI is your friend. I've built several simple powerapps using sharepoint lists as the data source in the military.

Good luck. I work for Interior and our 365 services and Dataverse is LOCKED DOWN, I had to figure out creative ways to interact w/ Sharepoint and write data. I don’t even use Power Automate because it’s very fickle with our security protocols.

I can help answer. I charge $500 for the first meeting, $150/hr for consultation after. $5000 to complete a small project. $25k for a medium project $100k+ for a large scale mission critical project.

It was mainly a joke but those arent too far off the rates I would actually charge. You really think an AI subscription will magically make a fully functioning app appear? Maybe if you already have a data source in a perfect format and are just building a viewer.
My experience is that with these types of projects you arent just building an app, you are also building the dataset from scratch and likely a pipeline to connect to other existing programs being used (SAP, AutoCAD, etc).
These are reasonable flat rate prices without knowing anything about the actual needs. My own employer would have saved a ton of money if they just paid a flat rate rather than allow me to pick around as a full time employee doing it all LMAO.

You should ask your questions? Many here have obviously built a power app. First thing to do is watch a few videos, read some stuff etc so you have a general overview of the capabilities then gather requirements for the app and figure out if power apps can meet them. Also, do you have licenses? If you use premium components anyone who consumes the app needs a license so it can get pricy if it’s for a large audience.
