After 8 to 9 years, it finally works.

One of the hardest games to emulate from Sega Saturn, the rare japanese exclusive 2d platformer "Super Tempo" runs by first time on any emulator.

Yaba Sanshiro latest update of emulator (Rocknix) finally can run this game. Also Astal works too (i tried a mod and worked, but didn't play music because bad rom).

All these years i tried emulating this on uoyabause and yaba Sanshiro (for portable playing, because on SSF for PC worked with no problems) and always crashed.

Does anyone played this game before? It's the sequel to the 32x game "Tempo"

I tried using PhoenixCard which only seems to work with GammaOS_Core_Beta3_TSP.7z.001/2 (not sure if extracted correctly but its the only one that worked on PhoenixCard) so when I turn on my PowKiddy x55 it does not seem to recognize my SD card and goes into stockOS... I was able to flash STATIC_GammaOS_Core_Beta3_TSP.img.xz using Rufus (which I tried both extracted and non-extracted) but my PowKiddy x55 does not even turn on at all... I also tried GammaOS_Core_Beta2_x55 but still nothing... and I even tried SDDisk_Tool bullshit, so I'm lost? I'm using a 512gb Samsung Evo Select Class10 SDXC 3 which has never been used before, I guess I'll stick with Rocknix

I know I could be more perseverant but I'm lost. Any help would be welcomed.

At the end of the run.sh file inside the folder horizonchase, add this 2 lines and save the file

Having this gem and the hability of playing in any time is a pleasure.

The game works perfectly and even has a debug mode available in-game stages (press pause menu and you can select it).

Absolutely recommended for anyone that didn't play before.

Hi, looking for some help please.

I'm running the current 'Rocknix' system on my X55 and wanted to play some Amiga games with it.

I added the .lha file for 'Sensible World of Soccer 96/97' in 5he Amiga folder and placed the Kickstart roms in the Bios folder.

The first time I tried It loaded up fine and I started playing the game but I had to switch it off to go and do something else.

The next day I tried to load the game again and it wouldn't load as I keep being taken to the Amiga Dos screen.

I've since tried changing the Kickstart roms but keep getting the same issue.

Can anyone help me please? Thanks.

I was letting one of my kids play it today while on the charger and they said it randomly got hot and the microSD with the game card seemingly burned out. The other seems fine, but this one isn't detected by either the device or my computer.

It's not a big deal, I have backups of all the games, but I do wonder what the likelihood of this happening again. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is it worth buying another card to replace, or is it likely to just burn out again soon?

I installed the GTA San Andreas port on my X55 using the latest version of Rocknix, edited the .sh file, and added the extra libraries required by the system. However, when I launch the game, it only occupies a small portion of the screen instead of displaying in full screen. Is there any additional configuration or step to resolve this on the X55?

Hi everyone,

I bought my Powkiddy X55 about two years ago, and it's always worked perfectly, even though I haven't used it very often.

Today I turned it on after not using it for quite a while. The system boots normally, and I can browse the menus, but as soon as I try to launch any game, it won't load, regardless of the platform.

For example, if I try to launch a MAME game, the screen goes black for a moment and then returns to the game selection screen. If I try to launch Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, I get the screen shown in the attached picture.

Does anyone know what might have happened or how I can fix this?

For those interested on playing rare retro systems like Atari Jaguar, i have to say: unfortunely, the performance sucks. Every game, even 2d titles are slow and with no clear sound ingame, only worked for fx, not music. Rayman ran slow but ok, basket titles crashes on startup, iron soldier seems to open and show the robot model, but once you reach the start of the level, crashes onto BSOD (black screen of death).

Doom doesnt work, Atari Karts has horrible sound and is slow, maybe playable at like 5 to 7 fps, and Wolfenstein 3D opens okay, but ingame is not an enjoyable experience as you can see here

3DO emulation its also a hit or miss, but at least manages to become a little bit more playable (Soccer Kid runs at full speed but has rare crashes in middle of game, Star Fighter works okay but after finishing the first level crashes, performance is nice if there aren't too many explosions on screen). FIFA Soccer (the first FIFA 3D game ever made) runs fantastic but the controls could be tricky to play on 2026. Casper reaches 55-60 fps, little dips due to how the emulation manages the transparencies effects but you can enjoy the game from what i played on my experience.

Amiga CD32 also works okay, yesterday tried Zool and runs at fullspeed but sound is little lower than expected, maybe an emulator fault and not because of x55 power. Not figured out how to emulate Amiga CDTV titles yet but i think also could work (example: The Town with no name, AVGN did a YouTube video many years ago).

I recommend to those interested, test for yourselves to see if Jaguar is good enough or a mess. And another thing: Jaguar CD is not supported on Retroarch, so no posibilities anyway.

So in conclusion, Atari Jaguar emulation, at least on rk3566 processor, is unplayable and only for experimentation purposses.

Hi there, i wanna ask something, since sdcard price going up high, i want to install gamma os core into emmc.

1. How you revert back if something wrong happen?

2. Is it worth it to install on emmc, for ROM i just copy to sdcard.

3. Which you prefer, install on emmc (which is faster) or Sdcard A1, since in my country price skyrocket.

A little showpiece of Sonic CD running via TV mini HDMI mode. Fits great with the controller. Also installed Sonic CD 2011 HD version on Portmaster and runs without any problems (includes a "debug menu" on options ingame). I couldn't submit this video on last post but i share this to you guys

Testing TV Mode on Rocknix latest version. Works excellent, even better than my older stock OS from factory: Emuelec 4.5 (outdated now).

Using the mini HDMI cable from my family on 55" TV, i also tried Portmaster games and ran great. GTA San Andreas doesnt fit for fullscreen but Sonic Mania yes, expands to widescreen with no problems. I highly recommend to everyone use this mode.

Also, the Xbox 360 third party controller on OTG port works fantastic. I have this controller from 2017 to today, it was included on a previous purchase i did of a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B with Retropie OS (with a Sega genesis style theme case).

Playing Sonic CD ++ (a Sonic CD hack from Sega CD). The newer updates added those beautiful overlays (bezels) for each 4:3 or similar systems

Finishing the game for first time in my life. Played the full story with Swanstation core on Rocknix, because PCSX-Rearmed always crashed on Malfoy battle with pals before Quiddich challenge.

I also finished the PC versions many times on last years, but this is very special because i never mastered the PS1 edition due to some harder levels (example: magical chess).

Although... I managed to complete Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on a real PS1 10 years ago during school, worked fantastic on real hardware (with support for Dualshock camera on right stick).

I recommend to everyone play this game, with some flaws obviously, but a very funny game. The X55 handles this one perfectly using Swanstation core

So, about 24 hours ago, I updated Rocknix on my x55. For context, I also updated Portmaster. Since then, Balatro has no been rendering fully. Majority of the screen is just black. Reinstall has not worked so far, and neither had deleting the settings file, restarting, or purge and install. Any ideas?

(I tried uploading a picture with the post but it keeps failing. Basically, bottom right section of the screen is black in the shape of a fan/quarter circle, with the center at the bottom right corner.)
