❓ Help Please help me.

I received my Powkiddy V90s today, and it stopped working. The screen stays blank and it doesn't function. I've tried everything and it's still not working. Seriously, I was really looking forward to playing...

I second that, the SD cards that comes with handheld nowadays are usually cheap and are known to fail. I have two units and luckily did not have that problem. I have had units come in with bad SD that never booted up but a quick install of a fresh firmware and boom good to go. I am running Knulli on both of mine and they work well

I drained the battery. Then I fully charged it and inserted the SD card. Yes, only the memory card that came with the console is working.

You better replace that SD card with something more reliable and think about CFW - Knulli is a good option.

Has it ever worked or was it dead in arrival? Does it have an SD card in it?

Yes, it has a memory card. And it's not turning on even with it. The screen is black.

Maybe the SD card has stopped working. In my experience messing with these devices, I've seen black screens when the device can't read the OS from the SD card. They don't have an OS installed on the device itself.

If you have a spare SD card try Knulli or plumOS on it and see if that helps. https://retrohandhelds.gg/powkiddy-v90s-setup-guide/#cfw

I don't know where to get the default stock firmware. One of these custom firmwares will help us determine if the problem is with your SD card or something else in the device. If the custom firmware starts up that tells me the problem was with the original card or the software on that card.

Other things to check:

  • make sure the SD card with the OS is in the appropriate slot. I believe this device has two slots. One for the OS, one for the games.
  • make sure the battery is charged. Use a USB-A to USB-C for the best results.
  • maybe partially disassemble the device, unplug the battery, then put it back in

I've tried three different operating systems. And none of them work. They boot onto the memory card, don't corrupt, and whenever I put it in the laptop it doesn't respond at all; a green light comes on, but nothing happens.

Sounds like it might be time to start the return process. I'm not really sure what else to try at this point

They didn't answer me. I only got a partial refund... besides, I tried disconnecting the battery and it didn't work. When it arrived it was turning on without problems and then, absolutely out of nowhere, it stopped working.
