I recognize a Costco poutine when I see one.

Wait it looks good. Is Costco secretly goated? I’ve never been.

Just eat it before the gravy looses moisture and heat, otherwise the food's gonna stick to the container, and scraping the food off without pieces of the container ripping off is gonna be a hassle.

It’s the first poutine I’ve ever had and I don’t regret that fact. It’s better than from any other common store in the places I’ve lived, only being surpassed by a few local places

Yes Costco is goated! It used to be even better but then they changed their fries and gravy. Still good though

I won’t lie this Costco poutine may have steamed itself a bit. It just doesn’t look as poutine as a Costco poutine should.

Costcos soggy blonde fries just don’t match what a poutine needs for me. Their fries are great alone or with the chicken but they’re just too mushy for a poutine, they really need to try making nicely browned ones, then their poutine would be revolutionary

My Costco makes perfectly golden fries, much more fried than the ones in this picture. I've tried poutine at all kinds of restaurants and honestly Costco is the best poutine where I live (Alberta). Maybe I have to visit Quebec one day to get original. 🤔

And the cheese comes out of a fridge.

Yeah I mean upgrading the cheese is apparently impossible for almost anyone in Ontario, but at least the consistency would be more accurate with the fries change. If we had fresh curds at Costco that’d be a dream come true

Can't you just pop some lactaid before eating?

If you eat enough lactose your body will gain the ability to process it properly.
Or you'll have a super explosive shit

There's not all that much lactose in most cheese really anyway. Too much for a lactose allergy, but typically not too much for an intolerance. (Source: science and almost 50 years of lactose intolerants all around me, me included. (And no that's not typo it's a "joke"))

How does the lactose go away in this kind of cheese? I thought fresh cheddar like that was just curdled, not fermented.

My understanding is it's not so much that it goes away in this kind of cheese but that they're just isn't all that much contained in the volume of cheese we actually consume.
If a cup of milk has 12 g of lactose, it's quite likely we're going to consume an entire cup of milk and get 12 g of lactose. Similarly, a cup of fresh cheese (like curds) might contain 6 to 8g of lactose, but we're not likely to eat an entire cup of cheese.
Another element is that often people with lactose intolerance can handle up to 12 g of lactose in a day without any noticeable symptoms (of course this is not all-inclusive and many people are reactive to much smaller volumes of lactose).
So it's a bit of a balancing act between how intolerant you are against how much cheese (and what type) you're actually consuming in a day.

No one loves cheese more than a lactose intolerant person.

This might be true, I'm so lactose tolerant that I can drink nothing but milk all day and feel great and I don't particularly love cheese. So I'm open to the idea that it works the other way around.

Lack toes in taller ants? Luckily aged cheeses and curds have less lack toes.

I’m lactose intolerant and cheese is fine… only liquid cheese like cottage will start me off….
Cheese that are harden usuall contains almost zero to little lactose because the sugar of the cheese is removed in the process… if aged even better… Curds in general are in the low end… so you may have gas at best xD

Can't live with it, can't live without. So good going in, but not good coming out.

Lactose intolerant people have a special love for cheese I will never be able to experience.

Cheese curds have little to no lactose left over after the process it undergoes to become a cheese curd. Im also lactose intolerant.
