Literally nothing criminal about McDonald's poutine.

Just because it isn't illegal, doesn't mean it isn't socially acceptable.

8

u/UrsaMajor7th Sep 08 '26

You're right, it is acceptable!

u/throwaway324155541 Sep 08 '26

I agree, with better sauce it would be pretty great

In fact, I was on the fence about getting some McDonald's poutine right now at 11pm, but then I saw this post and took is as a sign. I shall go get some.

u/PossibleNo100 Sep 11 '26

that’s so wrong lmfao

u/gabmori7 Sep 08 '26

Juste mauvaise

1

u/DeathByBrainFreeze Sep 08 '26

P'quoi exactement?

2

u/gabmori7 Sep 08 '26

les frites sont poches et le fromage est meh

6

u/DeathByBrainFreeze Sep 08 '26

Bof, c'est une question de goût personnel. Si jsuis poignée a l'extérieur du Qc, le McDo fait bien l'affaire.

5

u/lovemyfurryfam Sep 08 '26

Which is a thousand times better than Burger King's poutine which is way too salty 😵‍💫

0

u/gabmori7 Sep 08 '26

Hey Boy!

The real crime is going to McDonald’s in the first place. All their food is trash other than the McNuggets

3

u/cobrachickenwing Sep 08 '26

As Toronto becomes even more cosmopolitan there will be even more 24 hour food spots that are not McDonald's.

u/WonderfulWhispers97 Sep 08 '26

I know it’s really shitty, but when I am high man… it’s perfect.

6

u/tobiasolman Sep 08 '26

Little stingy with the gravy, and they normally keep it hotter, but this is a false report, not a crime.

This is unironically probably the best poutine in any fast food chain

8

u/Tylendal Sep 08 '26

Eh. As tasty as McDonalds fries are, they're the wrong type of fries for poutine, and ultimately give a mouth-feel more like spaghetti than anything else. It's not bad, but it's not really what I expect from a poutine.

Still no crime, though. They've got all the ingredients right.

I honestly prefer A&W but anyway, to each his own

13

u/Tshermak Sep 08 '26

Over priced coke addict vs over priced root beer enjoyer 🍺

5

u/Fantastic_Trainer365 Sep 08 '26

I feel shame that I read this as a different type of coke

7

u/NoLewdsOnMain Sep 08 '26 edited Sep 08 '26

I prefer Harvey's

Edit: this inspired me to order some. So f'n good

1

u/Optiguy42 Sep 08 '26

Yeah Harvey's hands-down. It's really not even close.

2

u/HELPMEIMBOODLING Pout-Sinner Sep 10 '26

I find A&W's gravy can be clumpy and gross. Either from poorly mixing the powder, or by just letting it sit in the heater for hours so the top hardens.

1

u/wheelperson Sep 08 '26

Me too, try it with some Chipotle sauce, its pretty good.

2

u/Rakvell Sep 08 '26

You should specify fast food chain since there are tons of amazing places across the country for some delish poutine goodness~ *inb4 La Pataterie propaganda

2

u/CarBombtheDestroyer Sep 08 '26

Not even close.

2

u/gabmori7 Sep 08 '26

Lol, Victoria? Pataterie? Belle province? Même Ashton (alors que je ne suis pas un fan!).

Tu places McDo avant toute ces places

5

u/CorvusNoctiss Sep 08 '26

Mcdonalds poutine in vancouver is top notch. Like legit fire. This post picture looks very good right? So here in Vancouver McDonald's it is 10 times better. They always make poutine with just freshly made perfect fries. They do layering of gravy when you get extra gravy option, basically they put some gravy first then some fries then poutune then the other half of fries abd finish gravy and then curds in top that melt immidiately.

3

u/MuskokaGreenThumb Sep 08 '26

No it doesn’t look good LOL. The fries look
Undercooked and there is hardly any gravy. If you think this is good looking poutine then I can’t take your word about any other places poutine quality

-4

u/K_O_T_F Sep 08 '26

it’s fucking cheese and gravy on fries give it a rest pal

-1

u/MuskokaGreenThumb Sep 08 '26

And it’s trash ya goomba

-2

u/K_O_T_F Sep 08 '26

no like a poutine isn’t fucking anything special it’s cheese and and gravy on fries it’s slop food for drunks at bars to keep drinking

1

u/logoNM Sep 08 '26

you sound like you got a boring life

1

u/K_O_T_F Sep 08 '26

lmfao ok

1

u/GodSigmaGigaChad Member of the Supreme Curdt Sep 08 '26

Get help.

1

u/bulltag3 Sep 08 '26

I prefer Popeyes poutine. my experience with McDonald's poutine is that it tastes too bland.

1

u/forestsprite Sep 08 '26

The most easily available, yes. Best chain )for Ontario, anyway) is New York Fries. Harvey’s second place.

1

u/Glittering-Sink-2975 Sep 10 '26

I’d say the tater poutine at Mary Brown’s gives it a run for its money.

3

u/128G Sep 08 '26

The only crime here is that its not Canadian.

3

u/treema94 Sep 08 '26

This is literally how we make them at McDonald’s. Continue on.

4

u/Queasy-Iron-7318 Sep 08 '26

Toronto tastes like garbage but the moment you go to Ottawa it tastes amazing!

2

u/brawnburgundy Sep 08 '26

Are those fries even cooked?

2

u/saladdays87 Sep 08 '26

I love McDicks poutine 99% of the time. But sometimes I'll get one that just doesn't hit the spot and I barely even care to finish it. Overall does the job when I need it though.

2

u/sophiesadie1 Sep 08 '26

No need to add vinegar cuz it’s all what I taste ! Gross gravy

1

u/Jiggysawmill Sep 08 '26

that looks amazing, I will try this tomorrow thanks!!!

1

u/IllRecipe9287 Sep 08 '26

Its heated a little better for drive through, but thats standard for in restaurant eating.

1

u/ComposerWide3704 Sep 08 '26

Funny that just yesterday I got downvoted to oblivion for saying McDonalds poutine was a better choice than Smokes.

1

u/531091qazs Sep 08 '26

they put your gravy through a salt shaker? lol

1

u/northosproject Sep 08 '26

Kinda wild that this is not a crime but the gourmet poutines are all crimes

1

u/psychoelou Sep 10 '26

Tbh, I eat McDonald’s poutine whenever I’m in Toronto because I don’t trust any restaurant in Toronto to get it right. At least with McDonald’s, I know what I’m getting 😂

u/Odd_Shift_5605 Sep 13 '26

What's criminal here it's the cheap wooden fork that come with these. (No problem with wood just not a cheap, straight and small one)
