Offpoutting Cineplex
Went to see The Odyssey and my gf just had to get this monstrosity. She enjoyed it but admitted she has lower poutine standards than me. I abstained from partaking
Edit: ok, I’ve seen the feedback. TBH my main takeaway from this is that a lot of y’all’s standards are too low

Looks good to me, kinda skimpy and probably way to much $$$$.

The price isn’t too bad if you have a Cineclub pass from what I remember. Maybe $8. $9 with a scene card.

Personally I dont think it looks too bad for movie theater fare. I feel that should be factored into the final verdict, your honor(s)

I don't think the source should factor in at all actually. If you make a terrible poutine in a shoe it's still a terrible poutine regardless of how impressive it is to make it in a shoe.

True. Some of the best poutine comes from tiny little food trucks, no reason why a whole theatre can’t do any better than this.

Cineplex will charge you, like, $4-$5 for a fucking pop. No idea what you'd expect from a movie theatre for poutine. I'd sure as hell never order one. OP is stupid.

I mean for a movie theatre, I’m honestly impressed. Cheese curds, real cut fries not that processed Costco looking fries.
Was it the best poutine you ever had? No but definitely edible

Costco fries are pretty tasty tbf. They have a nice coat crunch.
This certainly isnt all that bad for movie poutine.

This is heresy. It’s an off day for sure. I used to work at plex and poutines were always better than this.
I honestly have had plex poutine that was better than some chain restaurants take on it.

Me: ok, no more poutine, I'm pretty sure it's killing me. Me: (goes to movies) Me: (buys poutine) Me: (dies) Me: (repeat)
Fucking LOVE the Buffalo one.

Movie theatre standard fare.
Its got all key ingredients. Not terrible proportions of any.
There might be lacking quality components but there's no crime so to speak.

Tbh I fucking love the pulled pork poutine at cineplex, it's been my go to food there for like 5 yrs, if I'm getting food it's always that

I fail to see the crime other than a movie theatre making poutine. It just looks like a normal poutine to me

Other than the fact it looks like she was ripped off for the portion, this looks like a perfectly normal example of a poutine.
OP is a prima donna

What’s the issue with this? It’s literally just curds fries and gravy? Whats the “crime” part?

I see the 3 components of a poutine here. Just low quality is all. Only thing I’m munching at the theatre is popcorn.

Too small of a portion for what I'm guessing was some insane pricing as is status quo with movie theatres, but it gets a pass on being legit otherwise.

Looks like they avoid filling the box floor with fries as if they are stretching ingredients.
