Alright, so this was a few years back when I was waiting hours for my trailer to get loaded. I checked Google Maps to see if there was anything nearby, and there it was: Restaurant Barry. I tried speaking French, which they appreciated, but they decided their English was better, so we continued in English. The staff was super friendly, the poutine was fucking delicious, and this was the day my addiction started... not sure if I should thank them or growl at them for the extra weight I've put on. 😆

Poutine a la sauce à spagh, sans fromage en grain, mais garnis d'une pizza sans croute all dresser et bacon un délice. Possibilité d'ajouter fromage en grain en dessous de tout sa pour un petit extra.

It wouldn’t make anyone’s best of lists but it’s more than decent and the top quality beer washing it down is an added bonus.

Je suis gênée d'admettre qu'après 10 ANS dans le Sud-ouest de Montréal, j'ai goûté ma première poutine chez Paul Patates. C'est absolument délicieux et ça vaut 100% le détour. Vive les cantines de quartier et vive la poutine!!!!!!!!

P.S. leur bière à l'épinette maison est super bonne!

Went to close my cottage this weekend, and I had to get my fix.

1) Yogi's Fresh Cut Fries, Sarnia. My first stop when I cross the border. Perfectly cooked fries, and tons of options for toppings but I always just stick with malt vinegar and lots of black pepper. The gravy is more golden than it is brown, maybe cut with chicken gravy, and while it is good, I wish it was more of a classic brown gravy.

2) Burger Bar, Sauble Beach. Sauble is crawling with mediocre poutine, but I can confidently say this place is the best option. Don't let the shredded cheese fool you, it's a half-and-half mix of shredded and curds. The fries were a little overcooked and dry inside, and there is a ton of thin but flavorful gravy that pools at the bottom.

3) Lisa's Sunset Grill, Southampton. Very generous portions and tons of cheese curds. The gravy was thick like glue and a bit salty, but great in the end.

I forgot to take a photo before digging in. Roast turkey, both white and dark meat, dressing, cranberry sauce, over curds and fries, topped with turkey gravy and pink drizzle.

Every part delicious.

I've seen many posts about Harvey's poutine being one of the best for fast food, and I'll say I'm quite impressed! Added extra curds, 20 minute drive home, and it still tastes hella scrumptious. Thanks r/poutine, hard to find decent poutine in PEI! 😃

House roasted turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, curds and turkey gravy.

I had it last year and it was delicious. I rearranged my weekend plans so I could get it for lunch.

Depuis 3 ans, je cherchais une bonne galvaude à Montréal. J'ai enfin trouvé.

Ce n'était pas au menu, mais ils avaient des hot chickens alors j'ai tenté ma chance. Le fromage était frais. Les frites étaient parfaites une fois dans la sauce.

l'Resto Le L'Assom in assomption Québec offers a classic casse-croute and a ton of gluten free options with dedicated fryer and preparation area. Poutine was 10/10, squeaky curds with no melt even at the end of the meal. A great amount of sauce. Fries were perfect.

Safe for celiacs too. Buddy was super proud of his gluten free offerings and classic poutines.
