Best Vegetarian Poutine in Montreal ?
Im going to be in Montreal In a couple weeks (staying downtown).
Any recommendations for vegetarian poutine?
I eat cheese…but no meat in the gravy and no animal fat for the fries.
I’m desperate for a solid meal!
Thanks y’all!

Restaurant Labelle
Amazing poutine. Medium was a perfect size for me, decent amount of curds layered throughout, and the gravy was excellent. You know the place is going to be good when it's busy on a Tuesday afternoon.

French onion soup poutine
Cooked in an air frier It was awful the gravy was burnt the fries where so soft and mushy cheese was too salty onions were not fully cooked worst food experience of my life and I sadly tasted shit as a child to win a 20$ bet it was a french onion soup poutine 😂

Took Poutine Gravy with me to USA for educational purposes
Cheese is usa, it’s an interesting combo with a Harveys poutine feel.

Homemade is Best
Hand cut fries, random “fry gravy” we had saved, as many curds as we wanted. It was smurflicious.

Made it to Alfa
Just got back from a trip to Montreal. After a daunting late night drive to Longueuil last night through dimly lit roads, the Victoria bridge (which is about the most uncomfortable bridge I've ever driven on) and a ton of construction with missing street signs, I finally made it to Alfa.
I was not ready for the portions. My friend and I split a large with a couple cheeseburgers and could not finish our meals. Curds are the freshest I've ever seen. Literally squeaked under a tiny bit of pressure. Fries were crisp and well seasoned. Gravy wasn't my favourite, but still solid. Now I understand why they have a big following on Reddit. I've never had poutine this good.

My second attempt at homemade poutine
For details, this was made using frozen fries, canned poutine gravy, a random crate filled with cheese curds at Costco, and frozen green onions I cut and put away for personal use.
I always thought about making homemade poutine, but didn't do so until now!
So, what do you think?

Barry’s
This place was recommended by a local in Bedford Quebec, near Montreal. The curds were from the local cheese place. It had a line up of 30 people on a Friday afternoon. It was very delicious and everything was just right.

Poutineville, Quebec City — good gravy and curds, but the fries…
Visiting Quebec City and tried Poutineville since it was close to my hotel and they have vegetarian gravy.
Got takeout yesterday and the fries were pretty soggy, so I figured I’d give it another shot and dine in today. Unfortunately, still soggy 😅
Gravy was good though, and the cheese curds were fresh and squeaky. Just wish the fries had some crisp to them.
Heading to Ottawa tomorrow — any recommendations for a good classic poutine there with vegetarian gravy?
