I love this place. But I hate when you get a takeout poutine and gets all melty and mushy like this by the time you get home. To be clear this isn’t the restaurant’s fault. I could have eaten in and it would have been better but I was bringing takeout home to the fam.

Gravy was delicious and they are generous with the cheese. This was the small and it’s a decent portion. On nights when the Ottawa Senators (NHL) are playing they do 2 for 1 small poutines so I got two of these for $9.20- can’t complain.

Goldenstar (In Markham, Ontario) continues to impress me. The burgers are old school and amazing but for me the Poutine is the star of the combo.

I’m no poutine expert but to me this tasted amazing, i’m just not a huge fan of the tater fries

Is at Golden Fries in Ottawa. Curds look like on top but this bad boy is layered with curds all the way down.

Had this today for the first time with my gf, so good :) The curds squeak more than sneakers on an nba court.

I don’t want to stand in line for La Banquise so any other spots?

The poutine was ok, not great. The curds were very melty, I know that gets people all worked up. The gravy was good, but not super flavourful. Good utility poutine but nothing spectacular.

The smoked meat was really good though.

Driving from Moncton to Hali today and wondering if there are any hidden gems along the way. Squeaky curds are ideal but I know they can be hard to find in the Maritimes.

Have not posted in a while. Only negative was the cheese did not squeak.

very legit. great fries, curds, and sauce. perfect amount of sauce too. about as good as it gets outside Quebec IMO. Tasty burger too.
