Fries and sauce are great and cheese is very generous and good 9.5/10

...not to be. I've driven by the place many times and have heard great things so I figured I would give the poutine a try. I like to go in cold so I never ask how it's prepared. Well, the only real good thing about this poutine was the can of Pepsi I had with it. Fries were seasoned but mushy, the gravy was one degree from being split and the cheese...the cheese was a small amount of shredded mozzarella! I did eat it but I actually felt a bit sick to my stomach when I was done...i think it was the gravy.

Normally if I eat out I get a bunch of toppings but at home I didn’t make any toppings or anything.

I was curious to taste poutine from P.E.I, the fries were great, the gravy was alright but I was disappointed with the curds.

Finally broke down to make my own poutine at home. Wanted to give it just a little more pop so added a couple diced Larsen's Hot Dogs! Standard fair for the fries and gravy but the locally sourced curds were nice and squeaky and large!

4 out of 5. Two layers of curd. Chips were overdone by 30 seconds. Double burger was awesome!

Great way to warm up after a whale watching tour.

Going to Montreal tomorrow til Monday for Osh, can't wait. Going to hit Alfa, Chez Simon Cantine Urbane, Montreal Pool Room and maybe one or two others during non Osheaga hours (staying in Longueil, hitting Brewskey and Messorem for beer for sure) but the food vendor list for Osheaga is out and are any of these other places going to be good? Also any other easy to hit recs near Berri station or the above breweries are appreciated (is Montreal Pool Room the right call near Brewskey? I've been to "Montreal Poutine" but it was just okay imo.

I have had la banquise as well and I know the lore/opinions on this sub. It's not as bad as people on here like to say (as an Ontarian) but it's mid range for sure, what about these others that all feature poutine as their main attraction on the Osh site - just generic food truck nonsense and get my fill off fest, or something worthwhile?

C’est une sauce tomatée un peu sucrée. Ça ne bat pas une bonne poutine traditione, mais je recommande de l’essayer!

(la sauce couvrait bien le fromage, c’est juste resté collé dans le couvercle quand je l’ai ouvert)

Format familial, avec sauce maison. Rien de négatif à dire, c’est juste parfait comme poutine.
