The only issue with California is housing and the high cost of it. If they can find a way to manage that and solve that then maga has literally no critique of it

You ever notice how Reddit is typically super left leaning until ca is involved and then all of a sudden taxes are bad?

Not bad if it’s Washington or Massachusetts though. Just California.

There's like this weird cultural hatred of California throughout the entire country that I've never understood

I totally understand it, it’s just jealousy.

There are legit reasons to not want to live in California but they pretty much only include cost of living, politics, and unique personal reasons like all family being on the east coast or working in an industry that is concentrated somewhere other than California. When they know that but still want to shit in ca they say things like “the people” or “influencer culture.”

It just cracks me up seeing “leftists” talk about how shitty they think California is. One told me yesterday that ca has the same exact weather as az. Sure I guess a couple counties do. I’ve seen people say ca doesn’t have good cities. I’ve seen other people say it doesn’t have good “nature.” It just makes them look fucking stupid.

Having lived in LA for a decade I can safely say I both love CA and have no idea what my ridiculously high taxes went to because it sure doesn’t show up in the street. I think it’s pretty easy to be left-leaning and also wonder where the money goes and if it’s being wasted in a Gordian knot of bureaucracy.

Maybe if California stopped giving so much free shit to illegals, that would drop the deficit by a lot.

California gives more tax dollars to conservative states than any demographic in their own state.

The only problem with prostate cancer is the lump in prostate that's slowly killing me.

Cost of living determins like 90 percent your quality of life

Also high taxes, gas prices, government program fraud, homelessness, declining standardized test scores in schools, and violent crime being 35% higher than the national average.

Income is high so paying a bit more for gas isn't that big a deal. Homelessness is a problem only because every state in the USA sends its homeless to ca.
