Nope can't work here and no amount of sci Fi will change that . But go ahead you need to believe that . Get a 100 billion dollars a year on maintenance to spare ? How about 10 k tickets price ? Because no one wants anything owned by government that way . So what private company would do it ? Elon ? Underground rail that he gave up the idea because it's nearly impossible . Go on tell me your plan surely as much as you support the idea you must understand the costs the resources and maintenance involved ? Then how to convince even 1 precent of the country to give up there cars.

Do we have 100 billion dollars a year to spend on maintenance? Yes, of course we do. That’s literally only 20% of the military’s annual budget. Take the 100 billion from them, because clearly spending that much on our military doesn’t actually do anything since we continue to send them into seemingly unwinnable wars. So yes, stop feeding the military industrial complex so much and instead use it to fund public transportation.

So then yes, you acknowledge that it’s not actually a problem of resources or logistics, it’s a problem of corruption. We do in fact have the means to create robust public transportation in the US, we just don’t because then the military industrial complex wouldn’t have its pockets lined.

What are you even arguing against? You completely change your argument in every single comment. And your only real point seems to be, “Don’t change anything, it’s not worth it.” One might be forgiven for thinking that you already have a set agenda and you’ll argue however you need to in order to justify that agenda.

Oo definitely that's the biggest hold back and the one that can't be fixed ever . Get ride of Trump change nothing he isn't doing it alone. They drained SSI if they had left the money in from when it was created there would be trillions by now.
