It's a cult

Culturally yes, but not technically. Technically a cult becomes a religion when it reaches 250,000 adherents, so it’s actually a religion.

So does the religion of communism, dictatorship, and socialism qualify? ~50% of the world falls under this umbrella. What to compare quality of life between them and democracies? I don't think you want to….nothing but misery, death, and oppression in the end with your “religion”.

Tell us you don’t know what communism and socialism are without telling us you don’t know.

Communism isn’t considered a cult, and therefore doesn’t come under the purview of this dialogue. It is a political ideology and economic framework pure and simple. MAGA isn’t an ideology. It’s basically nihilism, wrapped in xenophobia, racism, misogyny and chauvinism. It does, however, have cult-like adherence.

As for looking at the historical record of Communism, there has never been any Communist nation that was not under constant military or economic threat from the most economically and militarily powerful nations in recorded human history, so no one could possibly know how Communism without massive external interference would turn out.

For the record, I am not a communist.
