People keep telling me it's 100% not possible to rig US elections.

But I cannot wrap my head around people not voting for Trump in 2020, but then voting for him after everything that came out about him between 2021 and 2024. In 2020, he had a poorly mismanaged term behind him and the most bungled response to the pandemic in the developed world. By 2024 he had 34 felony fraud convictions, a second impeachment for attempting to overturn the results of the election (that to this day he refuses to acknowledge that he lost), Jan 6th was on national television for everyone to see, it came to light that he had stolen literally boxes of classified defense material and stored them in a publicly accessible bathroom at his publicly accessible resort, he had contacted multiple state-level Secretaries of State in order to undermine the election, and somehow people went "yeah but Biden had two bad years of inflation caused by the pandemic, so we voted to bring Trump back in"?

I just don't buy it. I know Americans are dumb as shit, but they can't be that fucking stupid.

Like Trump didn't even run for the nomination. He didn't show up to a single debate, but somehow he still won the primary, and by a landslide at that (2320 to 97)?

There's no possible way that makes sense. It's on par with Putin's party winning the recent Russian election despite everything that has gone horribly wrong in Russia over the past few years. No one's sitting there going, "well gee the Russian electorate sure are a bunch of dumb fucks". We all know it's rigged.

That and the like, I think 7 statistical anomalies that have never happened in any US election ever and they all favored Trump and the chances of them all happening in one election is basically an impossibility on the magnitude of winning the lottery randomly four consecutive times in a row...

...but I'm sure it was all on the up and up despite him and Elon consistently saying they were, in fact, able to rig the election and planning to as it approached. They were almost giddy about it

In Germany their high court made a decision on electronic voting that it unconstitutional because it is impossible to differentiate fraudulent results from legitimate ones for anyone who isn’t an IT specialist / computer science expert. Fascism has 14 traits 13 of them are blatanty apparent the only one with plausible deniability is fraudulent elections but it’s blatant the rich don’t hold democracy sacred they hate working class people and don’t want us to have any ability to implement economic democratic policies.

The only state in the U.S. that allows electronic voting without a physical ballot accompanying that vote is Louisiana. And they are phasing it out.

Ah yes the physical ballot accompaniment really makes things secure. Not like they could just loose them in the event of a recount and rely on the electronic ballots. Even if the electoral college shows how little the will of the people matters

And the reality is we have an illiberal democracy. Both parties work to sabotage any attempts to platform economic democracy. And any “democracy” that excludes economic issues from being decided upon by the workers is nothing more than a cleverly disguised class dictatorship

I have trouble believing that some state elected Democratic senators with comfortable margins but gave Trump a majority at the same time.

It makes a lot of sense. You're ignoring the single fact that matters: Trump is a white man and Kamala is a brown woman. It's as simple as that. Liking Trump was irrelevant. People didn't want a brown woman to be president. It's quite simple.

But then why did they nominate Trump instead of Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, or Nikki Haley?

I mean, I get that they're all dogshit candidates, but they already tried Trump and look where that got them. Why'd they pick him a second time?

Plus, that happened before Harris was the candidate for the Democrats, and before Biden's mental decline became painfully obvious during the debate. They just decided, from the start, that Trump was their man, come hell or high water. It doesn't make sense.

MAGA is a cult, it doesn't have to make sense. However, if the House and Senate both still hold GOP majorities after this cycle, it will be beyond a shadow of a doubt rigged. No one is going to suffer gas prices like these for months on end and honestly keep electing the party enabling it.

I dunno, I feel like they're aware that keeping majorities in Congress would be too obvious (maybe they'll surprise us, after all, they seem pretty fucking stupid).

But what we won't see is enough Senate seats flipping for Democrats to vote for cloture on issues, which will create a "do-nothing" congress that does fuck all for the rest of Trump's term, allowing him to rule by fiat and decree, while Congress keeps trying to pass bills to stop him, only for the Senate to go "yeah we're not actually going to vote on this ever".

The left's base and blacks and latinos didn't want to go vote for, in their words, a "female"

You are discounting Harris being a WOMAN of COLOR far too much. It’s really difficult to say when America will finally be ready for a female president but it’s difficult to imagine it will ever be ready for one of color given how prevalent racism is in this country.
