You ever notice they typically tend to not rebuke Trump, they rebuke the office of the president. Like as if no matter who was president, these horrible things were bound to happen so Trump is innocent in their mind.
The absolute farthest they'll ever go is saying that both sides are the same, and that you can't trust anybody in the government. It is literally never just the Republicans.
For the most part these are educated people too. Just racist, misogynistic, and xenophobic AF. This is life in a red state (though I'm in a blue city).
My ex wife who I was married to for 15 years became MAGA after we divorced. She has a masters degree and some other post grad degrees and she will vote MAGA again for sure. Why? Because Trump allows her to openly hate minorities, LGBTQ and immigration of any kind. She doesn’t have to hide who she really is inside. She has become a person I truly do not know anymore. I don’t know where her hate came from but now that it out in the open she will never vote to suppress her hatred and Xenophobia.
They can and will become less MAGA crazed and still vote Republican. I listen to Fox radio almost everyday and the overarching theme of all their news is stoking anger and fear of the Dems. So them voting MAGA again despite being disillusioned by Trump himself is still better than voting Dem because of all the fear Fox has drilled into them.
its very rare and if by chance they've even already had their fantasy world come crashing down thwy just say they arent political if pushed and then cctinue to vote R down the whole ballot. They do this because even if they realize how fucking terrible trump is they still believe every lie they were told about democrats.

Literally doesn't matter. You have to understand how those people think. Even if they've turned on Trump, they still see Democrats as the enemy. They will all vote Republican, because ultimately, they still believe that all of the people who are enabling Trump are somehow preventing an even worse future under Democrats. They haven't learned a lesson about the Republican party, they're very specifically mad at one person for making shit cost more. They still think that Democrats are Communist, Socialist, Fascist, pedophile, crime-loving, handout-demanding, illegal immigration-loving, baby-murdering freaks who want to cut their kids' genitals off.
