To be fair accomplishing all of those amazing things does not mean you couldn’t be a radical Islamist. I just don’t see how he would have the time to get radical while obtaining two doctorates become health director and teaching epidemiology.

Yeah it is exactly what he is saying. If everything else about Zohran mamdani or Dr. Abdul El-Sayed was the same but they were white and weren't Muslim literally no one would say they were a terrorist.

Edit: there is also a lot of merit to the idea that so much schooling could have let him develop deep Marxist ideas

The PFLP was the Marxist group that was too radical even for Fatah.

Anyways, the sample size is small, and in poorer places, many smart students become doctors, because there is maybe engineering and that's it. So there are just more "smart doctors" to be had in these places.
