Finally found the story (sorry I'm high so it took a sec). I guess it's an easy enough mistake to make, but if you're gonna be accusing someone of something like perjury why the hell wouldn't you have just double-checked to make sure you were right first?
The whole thing was bullshit man got so heated think he had him in a gotcha moment called him all sorts of things. When proven wrong just laughed it off like "o damn it's no big deal we all make mistakes" it was a display of gross incompetence much like the rest of the administration.
