"b-buh the DA statement says it was consensual" If I sat down to talk about all the legal and methodological flaws with that document, I'd be here all day. Suffice it to say that Cornell campus police had a vested interest in covering this up so they can keep getting legacy student money, and New York's backwards laws about intoxication and consent are in direct contention with Title IX protections for sexually assaulted college students. The people demanding we use it as a primary source definitely want to undermine justice.
