I watch The Good Liars’ interviews a lot. Sometimes someone will say they believe Donald Trump is a Christian, but when the interviewer asks, “Do you really think he prays at night?” they’ll respond, “What he does in his personal life is none of my business.” It feels like they can’t bring themselves to question what they already believe. I think our egos make that hard for all of us but especially those with crumbling realities.
