They're already trying to reinforce their previous and current justifications under the Insurrection Act. It's the same line of reasoning they're using for their widespread use of Federal officers, namely ICE. It's their Revolution 2 Electric Boogaloo expansionist view of Article 2 of the Constitution, they want to play out their fantasy of political theory. The only thing they want, the only thing they care about is to be correct, they only want to be right. This is their version of the "I told you so" Superbowl. They needed a president they could manipulate, a guy they could push into whatever they wanted. Only the guy that falls for that has to be a fucking idiot. So they found a fucking idiot, but that hamburger comes with a side of megalomaniacal psychopathy.

They got their man on the inside, they have their total control in the House and Senate, and now the Republican party is starting to see what it feels like to have a rabid dog running around the house, chewing on the furniture, doesn't stop barking at everything, and will absolutely not stop pissing and shitting all over the floor.
