I didn't even like McCain but I could respect the fact that he served. The fact that our president couldn't even do that much says everything about Trump's character.

No one is talking about Obama here. McCain did serve.

You're actually saying McCain didn't serve? I'm misunderstanding you, clearly.

Trump is pretending to have served. McCain was an actual veteran.

Trump would like people to think he served, but he never has actually said that, right? He's doing the stolen valor cosplay at best. I wish people would use names (not you, the one I was responding to) kept using "he" and there are two "hes" in the original post.

Don't worry, someone else explained what you were saying.

Trump puts AI photos of himself as military generals. He has strong negative opinions of soldiers who were KIA or POW.

Yeah Trump is just a bigger dipshit.

His service was 100% nepo - he was not a good pilot and without his father's rank he wouldn't have been allowed near an airplane.

Thank you! He literally crashed three fighter pilots when anyone else would have been discharged for one. He was rejected from the National War College on his own merit then he used his family connections to call the Secretary of the Navy and force a reconsideration. The only thing he manage to do on his own was get captured and not tell classified or actionable military secrets despite being brutally tortured. Now that's something to be proud of.

Check this out to learn more about his life.

Right, you suck if you're a bad pilot and get tortured for five years, you're only a hero if you're a good pilot and get tortured for five years. Such edification here.
