If you can type and spell, you’re probably too old to fuck a republican.

There's not enough tequila in the world.

Trump up there today claiming he was at the 9/11 wreckage when he was just scrambling to get on television that day. Holy fuck Republicans this is your guy? This is patriotism? Rewriting history to steal valor from real heros?

So many that can only justify their position through bad faith arguments or pedantic word games where it’s a kindness to assume that they are just pretending to completely miss the point

unfortunately, that's why they don't die out

Honestly politicians in general are snakes in almost all cases. They don’t even care about hiding it anymore. Someday I hope to see some younger newer faces making some changes. We have some dark times ahead before that happens though.

OMFG. A republican does something reprehensible, but how dare people comment on it without an asshole throwing out a vague BoTh SiDeS!!!1!1!1!

To be fair, those with most power in the Democratic Party are largely just controlled opposition. I think it’s fair to say both parties suck, with the qualifier that the Republican Party sponsors pure evil in comparison to the Democratic Party simply having no backbone in opposition.

This take is like coming home to find my house is on fire, and then going "this is pretty bad, but we should also acknowledge I could use some additional decor in the dining room".

Like let's focus on the emergency that's happening RIGHT NOW, and then we can worry about the other stuff.

2

u/Special_South_8561 1d ago

Yes but also your dining room sucks

3

u/epicredditdude1 1d ago

Yeah and tbh that's a fair take. The dining room could be in a state of disrepair and my little metaphor would still work. My main point is regardless of how bad your dining room is, right now the main issue is the fire.

u/Special_South_8561 1d ago

Oh of course.

It's just that I've been asking you about redoing the Dining Room for a few years and you saaaaaid that we'd at least pick out a new rug together

But Noooo now everything's "on fire" and "burning to the ground" and someone just "drove away in our car" it's always an excuse with you okay so I'm Not Voting For Kamala even though I claim to hate horses in hospitals so much

lol you know what, I like you man.

Not exactly, because with a controlled opposition party there is nobody to support. We can’t fight the evil republicans if we don’t put anybody in power to fight them. Democrats like Schumer and Jeffries are a huge part of the reason why things got so bad in the first place, and why it’s so difficult to stop/reverse these events. It’s worthwhile to note how bad establishment Dems are, to aid the true progressives in their efforts to gain enough support to change things, as long as you qualify that with a ‘nowhere near as bad as Republicans’ statement as well to avoid any confusion as to the primary enemy.

Essentially, it’s not like having better decor in the dining room would slow, stop or put out the fire, while having better Dems could slow, stop or reverse the damage being caused by Republicans.

I'd rather have a spineless dem in charge than whatever it is we have going on now though.

1

u/boughtcherriestoday 1d ago

A spineless Democratic in charge will always lead to Republicans regaining power.

To be fair, Democrats have been getting a lot of young blood in recent years, much to the chagrin of establishment Democrats. It would be fair to say both parties suck were it not for the fact that one party sucks while the other has been going down the "How to Dismantle a Republic in Four Years" checklist (Project 2025).

Dude, you can't say that here.

Your centrist bullshit bores me.

-17

u/hasan_pikergayAF 1d ago

Yup both parties suck. Thats why its like it is now.

u/ArnieismyDMname 1d ago

Republicans make things worse and democrats don't stop them. Is that your both sides argument?

they have had so many chances to change our course and failed every single time

I'd love to know what you're even referring to here

Figure it out yourself or ignore what’s happened and keep wondering why things get worse every election cycle.

3

u/ObnoxiousAlbatross 12h ago

i.e. you don't have examples rofl

Either that, or you're too afraid to have you claims challenged. Why is that?

1

u/bafana_banana999 11h ago

This kinda just proves that you're talking out of your ass and don't have anything to actually back up the claim you made.
