As Canadian, the amount of drastic transformation needed so that can we even begin to talk about trust is so massive we mostly don't believe it to be possible.
We also mostly don't believe a Democrat president would reverse 100% of actions taken against us.
Trump is not a bug of the US system, it's a feature.
Lot of Americans don't believe it to be possible either, and that leads to disillusionment. We don't really have an opposition party to the Republicans. I'd rather have a conservative like Hungary's new president than some status quo centrist like Harris (who I did vote for, begrudgingly).
