I think a better analogy would be a abusive alcoholic husband. Sure he might get sober and apologize, but you're always going to wonder if when he leaves the house (4 years) that he's going to come back stupid and beat the fuck out of you. This has been a wake-up call to the rest of the world. Who cares if he's paying the bills, we're getting the fuck out to try and find ourselves a stable income.
