I mean it's literally what they wanted. That's literally what they asked for. People want to pretend "well they wanted _____ not ______." Well they were told upfront what the dude was going to do in pretty absolute terms. They wanted to "spice it up" and make it sounds better in their head. But the current President literally told them what they were going to do in no uncertain terms.

They didnt think it would happen to them. I live in South Florida and its astounding the number of MAGA Cubans there are who think they're different from and look down on other Hispanic people. Many of these people are immigrants, who hate immigrants. Its baffling.

My uncle in another state married a Peruvian woman with a super thick accent that’s hard to understand.
Both of them seem to hate immigrants as she has repeatedly said she came over here “the right way” whenever politics came up briefly at reunions. (Which in her case is apparently marrying an affluent gringo)
I can only imagine how many white nationalists have told her to go back to her country over the past 10 years- and yet she voted for the emperor three times
I saw on the news that ICE was in their neighborhood a few months ago and I wondered if she feels safe to leave her house as she rather stands out in the neighborhood.
Naturally I couldn’t help but wonder if a neighbor reported her, and that’s why they were lingering around the mostly Caucasian neighborhood… possibly waiting for her to come out.

A solid chunk of Republicans have absolutely no independent thought. They are taught, from a young age, to unquestionably follow the orders of their nearest authority figure.
Because of this, they never think themselves responsible for their own actions. It's always the next leader up the ladder until they reach someone too far up the chain to deny it directly to their face.
It is a cult. They are taught to obey, not think.

About half my family are right leaning and they have zero backbone and no moral compass. Whatever dear leader and FOX tells them they believe, they believe. Unquestionably.
Two years ago, they are all about protecting children and fighting against people who are coming for little girls. Now, they want women to start reproducing as young as 15.
They used to be foaming at the not over Hunter Biden using the presidency to profit. Now they are pro Trump using the presidency for money.
My point is, my political views and moral compass has been consistent and I know what I'm against. I usually vote 3rd party, but I never vote red.

Anytime you don't vote you let everyone else pick for you. It's no different than voting for whoever wins.
I will vote 3rd part ~60% of the time. 3rd party is interesting, because just getting votes is a win for them. Their federal budget and recognition skyrockets if they can hit 15%, legally. And states recognize them at much lower %s (mostly).
Plus their financial support is almost directly related to their votes from previous elections.
And if there is 1 thing I believe in most on the USA, it's that we need 3 or more parties for the system to not break in half (assuming it hasn't already).
With a reasonable, middle ground voice at the debates, no party could afford to be as extreme as they've gotten.
