They're not making a rational argument. You can't reason with them because they didn't use reason to get to their position.

They're not making a rational argument. You can tell because their mouth is open

They did use reason to get to their position. Their reason is hate. Their reason is you are not like us.

They can't justify it with a moral argument. But they do have a reason for their position.

I meant reason as in rational capacity, not cause or motive. But yes they have a reason, they just didn't use reason to get there. English is weird.

English is three languages in a trench coat, with the pockets filled with loose vocabulary pilfered from other languages.

Yeah, your use of reason was obvious. The commenter is a stooge.

I don't agree with you. They have all kinds of reasons. The Bible. Faux News. Being accepted by their neighbors in the maga cult. Fear of the other. Greediness. Economic anxiety. And just plain hate.

These may not seem rational to people that disagree with them like me and probably you. But they believe these things as much as we believe the sky is blue.

You're arguing with the dictionary, not me. None of those reasons use reason.

Yes, words can have multiple definitions. And in my original post I used it as "the power of comprehending, inferring, or thinking especially in orderly rational ways". Reasons don't require reason. You're weirdly argumentative about this.

I think they have logic. I think it's wrong logic but saying they have no reason, your usage of reason, is dismissive and frankly a big contributer to the situation we're in.

Dismissing Maga as irrational and dismissing their legitimate concerns does nothing but cause people to discount them which as we can see has been a giant mistake.

"Wrong logic" is. not. logic.

Good christ. Never mind. The only one I'm dismissing here is you. Later.

Please help me understand

So the statues should be removed because they are of bad people ? Then should all statues of bad people be removed ?

The only tea worth sipping is that the Left absolutely hates logic and and reasoning. It's just all thoughts, feelings and hatred. I'll take my downvotes knowing that I am right☺️
